how do you get a better chance of getting female plants???

clone or feminized seeds are obvious

minimize stress to avoid hermies

i dont think theres really a way to make a plant turn male or female

I used to think this was an urban legend, but I know several people, even here on this site that insist that if you put a banana peel in your jar while you're germinating that you will get females. I've never actually tried it so I can't say for sure.

I've heard other things such as using less light time during vegetation (such as 14 or 16 hours instead of 1, I'm not sure how much this is true. Or if you use a lot of growth enhancers.

I love it when people tell you to clone though. That is obviously not why you're asking.

Oh, and don't buy feminized seeds. It's actually impossible to guarantee females from just the seeds. This is a rip-off. Most of the time, you probably have to just get lucky actually.

i just used a 17 3 1 3 light cycle on 18 seeds for the first 2 weeks......I bet i get 50/50 but i wanted to try.....i'll let ya know in 2 more weeks

UPDATE!!! 10 females --- 6 males --- 2 I cant tell for a few days but leaning towards males......

I'm going to call shananagins on the 17 - 3 - 1 - 3 light cycle to make more females....

I used 30x mag and can clearly see translucent pist...on 10, I see pear shaped leaning toward round on 6 and the 2 others are in between.... gunna take the 8 and put em on 12/12 just to make sure as these are a new Strain SC x White Rhino.

So to sum it up, Just go with the gods and hope for better than 50/50

I hope I don't end up with 10 hermis cuz of the light thing...I'll let you know only if that does happen.....

MJ plants are sexed from seed, there is no fool proof way to get pure stable feminized seeds and no amount of banana peels will change males into females. The only way to get more females is to plant more seeds. Once you have a good stable female then you should clone it, from then on you will never have to worry about a male ever again.
