How To Germinate Marijuana Seeds

I believe that the older the seed is the longer it will take to germinate it. I also recomend putting them directly into the medium. I often times use the paper towel method because i like to see the progress. But directly in is the best IMO. Make sure if you do put it directly in it is only about 1/2 under the surface and the pointy side is down. I may be wrong so research it first. I also squeeze the seed gently before i plant it to make sure its not a dud. GENTLY is the key word.

Yah, i can get behind that. if you want to make sure the point is down, that's cool. i don't bother with that but you won't damage the seed by turning it with a toothpick. If you do the paper towel or glass of water method you now have to transplant a VERY delicate taproot which can be EASILY damaged, or worse, introduce a bacteria or fungus in the water medium which will transfer to the seedling. You are not gaining a thing by making extra steps for the plant. Only bad things can happen, not good things, so why bother with it?

That is why i always put in medium. Less steps make it a hell of alot less headaches. Plus like crackerjax said less chance of being infected!

if you know how to handle the seeds youll be fine. i did it and baby's doing fine.
