How To Flower Outdoors

yeah i am growing a marijuana plant from some of my stash i had (dont know t the strain) and it has gotten to be about 3 and a half feet now and i heard that during flowering it could double or even triple in size and if it that true then if it gets any bigger i will not be able to keep it a secret anymore so any tips on how to flower and outdoor grow i know it has to be on a 12/12 cycle but it is just the end of may so how could i make sure that it gets 12 hours of dark everyday could i use a trash bag or would that just kill the plant and comments would be greatly appreciated

yes you are correct if you have your plant oudoors it will need around 12 hours of darkness to flower. The methods you could use would be a trash bag, a trash barrel or if you have the space build a simple wooden frame and cover it in a black plastic or if its in a pot in the backyard you could put it on wheels and move it inside every night. The trash bag will not kill your plant but the humidity levels inside the bag are going be super high. But as i have heard of others force flowering they claimed that you would only need to apply the trash bag for about three weeks then just let it go and the plant will contnue to flower, if i was you i would try the trash bag for a couple weeks if you can tell its damaging the plant you a different method.

I have been using the trashbag technique for the last 8 weeks and my plant is budding beautifully. I leave it in the backyard and cover it at 7pm and uncover at 7am. Very easy. Just dont forget to uncover it or the sun will cook the plant

thanks that is wat i thought but when i uncover my plant it has very droopy leaves and is leanin to the side a should i worry about this or will the plant still be fine here is a picture of my baby

well i can definately tell its a strong sativia strain just from a quick glance.

really anybody else think that they can tell me what kind of strain they think it might be cause it was just from some seeds from this stash i

definite sativa Dom probably some mexican or thai landrace, but no one will be able to tell you for sure.

from the looks of it, be ready for a looong flowering time

12-14 weeks, maybe longer? But that's counting from when it starts to show, not from when it goes into 12/12. If you start counting from the beginning of 12/12, that's it's going to be quite a bit longer.

You should go to radioshack and get their little 12 dollar microscope to check the trichomes with, so you can know for sure when to harvest.

if ur worried about keepin it a secert then dig a hole and drop your pot into it to make it seem like its jsut anyother plant... idk where u live but people around me wouldnt know the difference

Oh yea that's is definitely a Mexican sativa!!! I have never grown a sativa before but when ever i pick up some of my dealers pure sativa hydro i just cant help but want to grow a sativa for its unique up high.
