How to eliminate Odor or Control It

What are my best option to eliminate odor or atleast control odor in a grow room? Currently there is 2 HPS lights with a carbon filter and 6" inline fan ducted to chimney. Also there is portable AC ducted to window. Hoping to duct a/c and Lights together and run out of chimney. What is the best option to control this odor with the setup all going to the chimney??
Please help

Yes the carbon filter must be at the end of outtake right before chimney. Thats what you want to know? hehe

theres a 6"x22" carbon filter ducted to 2 lights, then after the lights there is a 6" inline fan then the duct goes to chimney.. Do they make a carbon filter that you can duct both sides of? that a guy could put right before the chimney?? so there could be the big 1 carbon filter in room and then 1 right before chimney???

The chimney has a 6" duct hole in the brick,so I'm trying to figure out how you put a carbon filter right before 6" chimney duct hole..?
Thanks for fast reply's fellas

the a/c is pulling air from the room to outside. and that will stink up the whole block.

exhaust the air from the a/c to the attic. Then have a filter exhausting the attic. only way to do it with those portable a/c

Is there a way a guy could do it with a/c ducting to a "Y",Lights ducting to that "Y" and somehow using carbon filters in there...somehow?? Or a way to do it all in basement? Spaceprop I like the setup idea, might have to be done that way. Just would be nice to do it all in basement. Any ideas

i dont understand the whole Y thing your talkin about. but if your using an a/c with a duct you either have to deal with the odor problem, or do like i said.
There needs to be a little bit of pressure when air goes through a carbon filter, so if you were to connect a filter to the end of the a/c exhaust you will be putting allot of strain on the motor pushing the exhaust. this will ruin your portable airconditioner.

I wanted to run 6"duct from lights to the duct from portable a/c to a 6" Y,and then run duct to chimney. But I dont think that solves the problem because only the lights would be pulled through carbon, not the a/c when its pulled out chimney. But either way need to do something,it reaks.

Maybe build a box and put on otherside of wall..Duct A/C to bottom of box and put carbon filter in at top and duct out with inline fan to the 6" ducting "Y" from the hps lights and out the chimney. Inline fan would have to suck faster than what the a/c is exhausting into box I bet..?

if you do the Y idea, you should go with a 6x6x8or10.
and yess, smell will be going through chimney now, instead of window.
If you can use a window a/c those are good. or a mini split, but thats too much $

Big blue air seems really awesome. I still don't fully understand how it works but looks like it gets the job done

I bought a cheap odor neutralizing block kinda like ONA for $2.50 from Walmart and put that right at the end of my exhaust. Would be best to have one in the grow box, one in the end of the exhaust, and one in the closet. Hell, $7.50 for 60 days of complete odor control? Not a bad deal

This is what I do. U can smell it during the day when the terpines r producing the most smell, but at night, as in the wild, it isnt as strong. A well insulated attic will buffer any odor that could still be there after the room's air has been cleaned with a carbon filter... There is no smell at all outside with my setup... I dunno if I'd duct it right into the chimney... Id direct the cleaned air into my attic and let it die down up there, and go outside through the eaves' vents and there shouldn't be any trace once outside... This works, I know... I live around a buncha cops, who would've definately smelled it by now, if it weren't true...

I like that idea Ganjagod... So If my ac is in basement what would I need to pull air from a/c to attic. How man cfms or how big of an inline fan?? the ac just has a single hose and I think its 4". I would guess to get to attic would probably have to travel at most would be 20' in ducting. Did you have to pull of some sheet rock to hide ducting behind wall to run to attic or what do you got for ideas?? I dont want to have duct in plain view upstairs. I think thats why I wanted to go to chimney b.c it seemed so easy ha. thats why I was thinking about making an airhandler box out of a 50 gallon drum and have the carbon filter suck it out of there but I just dont know how much CFM i would need pulling air out of drum on carbon filter and Im not sure if I had to much CFMS maybe it would be bad on a/c... OR would the extra CFMS pulling the air just suck through a/c filter and not make it work any harder..
Thanks for helping me out with some ideas
