ok then guess i calculate all the results together giving a total combined usege per monthWattage x hours on per day x 30 divided by 1,000
Do this per each electronic. This will calculate monthly kilowatts.
ok thanks that's easier then i thought would be to work outSo with a 16 hour veg and a 12 hour flower, with the wattage of the lights, that's 163.8 kWh a month
I checked the rest of the math and yea, 205.56 kwh with your current setup
nope i got that wrong it should be $45.2232 per month for me @ 0.22 cents kwh and i am pulling 4 ish OZ every 8 ish weeks cost per OZ $22.60. had to correct it for my self so i didn't feel so dumb hahaok thanks that's easier then i thought would be to work out
about $45.2232 per month for me @ 0.22 cents kwh and i am pulling 4 ish OZ every 4 ish weeks cost per OZ $11.3058
the people i live with want to start paying $220 OZ instead of growing. i am trying to explain how retarded that is but couldn't work out the math
thanks for the help

0.22c is cheap for me. im aussie mate come put that shrimp on my barby. thy are cheaper them out electricityOuch 22 cents per kw where do you live? In BC Canada its 11.38 cents per kw hour.
If you live in BC here is a very easy way of calculating the cost. https://www.bchydro.com/powersmart/residential/tools-and-calculators/cost-calculator.html
FYI its cost me 33.25 for 800 watts 12 hour a day for 28 days or 4 weeks for a total of 100 for three months. At 500 grams plus per grow it works out to be 20 cents per gram for power or 5.60 per ounce. Then there is the cost of all the equipment and consumables like fertilizer bulbs and medium. The hid ballasts i bought in 1988 for $600 ya I've been growing three times a year for over thirty years so it works out to $3 for the ballast and $5 for new bulbs per grow. I use rockwoll that costs 10 per grow and finally fertilizer at $30.00 per grow.
All in that $ 100.00 for power $8.00 for the cost of the lights, $10.00 for the grow medium and finally $30.00 for nutes. At $148 per grow and at least 500 grams per grow it works out to 30 cents per gram or $8.40 per ounce.
true yes most that is cheap but true does add to costLOL
You seem to be leaving out a few things
Replacement filters, replacement lights ,A/C , nutrients , containers... i could go on
Sorry but you might hit mids but I doubt it
All in your still at less then 5% to 10% for home grown vs retail.true yes most that is cheap but true does add to cost
filter $200 every two yrs give or take
nutes base grow a+b plus bloom a+b $60 for about the year
don't use A/C and i do dwc so most is reusable just rockwool $5
replacement lights i run led so they will last a long time although need an upgrade
thanks now i have to do more math haha dont go on
im a scrub and im sure i can out grow any retailer with access to the equipment they get to use. apparently then jobs don't pay well for the work involved so ill stick with being a med growerAll in your still at less then 5% to 10% for home grown vs retail.
explaining it to a brick wall is easier . i think its the wait time them people cant handlesome people would rather waste money buying weed than grow.
i try to explain this to people all the time. people who spend $400+ a month on dispensary weed. they tell me they don't have time to grow and then they sit around every night drinking beers watching TV. they're just not interested.
