HOW TO attach DWC RESEVOIR

I have done DWC for the past few grows and it has gone really nice. I was wondering if anyone could help me conceptualize a very small project:

I have two, two gallon buckets. Each has a circular cut in them for the net pods.

I have another bucket that holds 5 gallons of water. I have a couple air pumps and both my feeders feed up to 6 plants so that's not a problem at all.

*What would be the simplest way to make an external resevoir (5Gallon bucket) that naturally fills the other two buckets up and when they over-fill, it goes back into the 5Gallon(resevoir)?

Hello: You are right........you need a separate res for your DWC. I use rubber gromets and half inch hose and fittings to connect my res to the DWC unit. You can get these fittings at a hardware store and the half inch black tubing at most grow stores.
I service the DWC from the res.
1. Mix new Nutes
2. Adjust ph
3 At frozen bottles to keep res temps down.
I also use a small foutain pump to pump the system dry.
I also circulate the water through the system 8 times a day for five minutes to keep the water stablized and the nutes thoughouly mixed. The water level in the res is the same height as the level in the DWC. So by having a res separate from the DWC unit it gives you extra water and nutes for the plants to use.
There are several ways to connect tubing to a five gallon bucket. Look around you will come up with the parts. To run a DWC without a res is triple the trouble and you can control the inviroment much better with a separate res.
Good luck
