how to adjust pH

my tap water is 7.0 can i get stuff to adjust at a hardware store or anywhere other then gro store its a drive

will lemon juice work?????? i dont knoe its acidic would it add citrus flavor also????plz help

it will definately work for the PH,as far as adding a hint of citrus to the finished pruduct,im not sure about that but i would like to know because i have the same PH tap water and use PH down. if this flavoring occurs ill switch to lemon juice in a heart beat.

why dont you just order a pH tester?? or go to walmart or some fish place!

Organic acids like vinegar and citric acid are not good ways to adjust the pH. They don't keep it low very long like a chemical acid does. Get some pH down or do this if you can make it to an automotive store: https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/292221-diy-ph-down-easy.html

Adding lemon juice won't give you any flavor. If you have a pet store or a Walmart or something around they might carry some pH up and pH down for aquariums. As far as I know aquarium specific pH up and down does the same thing as the stuff you'd get at the grow store. Only difference is you can get jugs of it there. Stuff from a pet shop might not come in as large sizes as you may need depending on your application. If you're just adjusting the water you water with you'll probably be ok. If you've got a 50 gallon hydro setup you might need the big jugs. Hope that helps!

THE WAL-MART ONLY HAS pH ADJUSTER TO NBRING WATER TO 7.0, THE LEMON JUICE WORKED ,TWO CAPS IN A GALLON BROUGHT HER DOWN .WHAT WOULD BE THE DIFFERENCE ????ORGANIC GOOD YES????

If you go to Lowes or Home depot they carry bottles of ph up and down in the landscaping section
