how they look

by flush i mean watering with plain water at 2-3x volume of the pot when you would normally water. this helps elmiinate salts that build up during the course of fertilizing.

The reason I mentioned it is that when you start to see the ridges of your leaves starting to raise, this is a good indicator of salt build-up and it may be time to flush.

In general, flushing every two to three weeks is very good, once between veg and flowering at bare minimum.

Beautiful bush! Looks a lot like my baby, but bushier! I'd like to know the FIM, pruning methods you used. I'm also using CFL lights, and I'm into the Flowering stage on my first female plant (not Herm!). Another flaw in my grow was the size of final pot it's in, but after flowering I plan on repotting, and re-veging. Are you using multi-spectrum CFL for flowering, or only one type(warm, daylight, etc.) This is a CRITICAL question for me right now!!!

Do you just leave the plant in saturated soil? or do you re-pot?? after flushing??

the main point of flushing is to recondition the soil, so repotting would defeat the purpose. Just make sure you have good drainage - with a good amount of perlite, for example - and allow the soil to dry as you would after you water. You should be watering enough when you regularly water so that water drains out the bottom of the pot, so flushing doesn't really saturate the soil much further.

Each volume of water you run through the pot can dissolve a set amount of those salts as it runs through. By running more water through, you're dissolving more salts.

i am just using 23 watt yellow clf's. and how i trimmed and made it bush out was i just topped the top of the plant, i would cut the very top off the plant and that branched in to 2 tops then i would let those grow for about a week or until they got about 1-3 sets of leaves on it, then i would cut the very top of both of them off and i just repeated that process like 6-7 times and then i just let it grow into a nice little bush.

well it was a little bush but now since it is 5 weeks into flowering it's getting huge.:blsmoke:

Cheers! I did it last night and it's looking better than ever!

No perlite in this soil, lol. this is an example of how impatient i am being, i've built a grow box and was going to start properly after i get back off my holiday, but i still couldn't resist starting a plant lol, fuck knows whats going to happen to it when i go away :? can't be good:cry:

sweet man. good for you.

question the huge flowerpot i am using only has one hole in the bottom with this work when i goto flush. and when i flush it will it hurt or bother the plant if i flush it and just let it sit in my sink for like 1-2 hours so the water can drain out.
so the main question is will 2 hours of dark bother my plant like will this mess up the light cycle.

I don't think it should hurt since you're in veg. I do that in my tub sometimes with no problems.

One hole should be fine, as long as it's big enough. I usually put clay pellets (hydroton) in the bottom of my pots so that the number of holes doesn't matter at all, but water is pretty capable of finding its way out.
