Use vermiculite to germ seeds
Fill a yogurt cup with vermiculite, then fill that with water and let the verm get saturated for 1-2 minutes, drain all the excess water out of the cup until it doesn't even drip, poke a shallow hole in the damp verm with your finger, drop in the seed and cover lightly with the damp verm, put a sandwich baggie over that cup like a humidome to keep the verm from drying out. Your seed will pop in 3-5 days, then gently scoop out your new seedling with a spoon (be careful not to break that taproot) and put your seedling in whatever medium you use.
