How tell good weed

anyone know how to tell what type of bud is good without smoking it, so liek smell,look,weight,touch thanks

you can tell the difference between good smelling weed and not so good, the not so good is a hay smell or kinda grassy. dense is always good and look for trichomes aka thc the crystals!

The only real way to tell the quality is to smoke, vape, or ingest it. Bag appeal can be faked very easily and I've smoked nasty brownish looking buds that were amazing.

I am with you buddy..I've smoked some shit called Jamaican Rum..It looked like booty. Dark as fuck, but it did have bluish purp hairs in the light, but when I got it (only picked up a gram) it was at night, so I thought I got ripped off.

Me and my friend rolled it up and I was higher than I have been in a while.


So to answer your question - you can't judge a book by its cover, until you read it.
If the weed has seeds, it is most likely some brick weed, or if it has hairs, and is sticky but still has some seeds, then it is some dank.

You can mostly tell how good the weed is by smelling/feeling it. If the weed doesnt smell like anything, then crack a nug. If it has a metallic smell to it, then you got yourself some bad weed...

you can tell by the look and feel if it's good.

cheap nasty weed is dry, crumply, seedy, and brownish in color. sometimes it's not too crumply, but if it's got seeds, it's brownish, and kinda cheap, yeah, it's shwag.

good, 'dank' weed smells kinda like dead skunk mixed with pine, it's a smell that once you know it, it stays with you. it's color is very green with a lot of orange/amber hairs. it should be covered with little crystals or tricombs. it'll be sticky. it should be dry and sticky. not moist. there's a difference and learning it makes a difference not only in quality but quantity. moist buds weigh more, and since dank is priced by the gram in a lot of areas, a dealer selling moist buds can make an extra 100 bucks per o easy, ripping off who he suspects are his more unknowing customers....


the giveaway is the smell, and texture, at least for me. good weed has a distinct smell to it. they all vary somewhat, but i'm telling ya, once you know the smell of good weed, it stays with you forever.....

People who think they know good weed without trying it are the reason why dicks put glass and odor enhancers into cheep weed. If it looks and smells good it's gotta be good, right? Wrong. If it gets you loaded it's good. I've smoked a lot of weed in the last 15 years and almost all of it has been California grown. I've seen neon green buds that barely got you high for 20 minutes and I've seen dark brown weed with a few seeds that was stoney as all hell. Looking and smelling will give you an idea of what you might get but you can only tell with a sample.

And everyone is different in their choices... I have had some stuff that guys have called primo or dank or the bomb that ain't worth shit... and had some great homegrows that will sit you down... Now that I grow my own meds, I can truly say life is too short to smoke shitty dope

Look and smell can be deceiving. We used to have this shit that looked fire as hell that went around from time to time. It was green with lots of trichs and orange hairs. Nice dense nugs and smelled like a skunks ass. It wasn't worth a shit. We called it "Pretendica".
