How should I dry my sample bud? PICS! :)

Hey guys

Im about 8.5 weeks into flowering SuperLemonHaze, Lemon Skunk, Himalayan Gold and LA WOMAN.

I'm ALMOST ready to harvest and want to try a sample popcorn bud to hold me over until I harvest.

Whats the best and fastest way to dry a small amount of "test bud" for sampling?

I've attached some pics to show how far along I am! :hump:

The problem with quick dry is you never get the chloroform out of the bud, this takes time, like a couple weeks. You could take a few and toss them into a small paper bag for a week or so and you will have a good idea of what you got.
Oven, microwave, dry in the sun, thats all bullshit. But then again I dont touch my harvest until its dried and cured for at least 3 weeks.

Just be sure to flush that rain forest with plain water or RO for a week before you cut or it will all taste like nutes.

i would dry it how ever you plan to dry the rest(dark room 65-70degrees with a little exhaust fan on a timer or something you don't want too much air flow.)..that will give you a good time frame for drying anyway and will let it taste a little better ,fast drying makes it taste bad and lowers the strength.

You don't sample the buds for taste, you sample them for potency. :)

I tried something the other day that worked well. I turned the oven on to 350f, put the buds on a paper towel on a cookie sheet, and set that on top of the stove. I turned the buds every minute or so until they felt dry, then put them into a glass jar until they felt wet again, and repeated until they were just about dry. Then I put them in a small cardboard box for a few hours. They tasted mostly like shit and smelled like grass but I was able to get a good idea of the potency.

i took a couple buds off my blueberry crop today,9wks into flower.i alwase put the bud in small pieces on a paper towel on a plate on a pan of hot water for a couple hrs, it doesnt taste great but better than a lot of other ways ive tried.im fucking ripped!!!!so it mustnt take to much tch away.

I test mine because I'm impatient. I put them in a piece of computer paper or a small brown bag and put it on top of my TV, and keep the TV on for 24 hours. Sometimes it takes 36 hours, as I have an old, 75 watt TV that produces only a tiny amount of warmth. The test bud is always weaker than the real bud, so if it gets me buzzed,I know the harvest will get me high or stoned. If I get high or stoned off the test, watch out....

My idea migght not work with a flat screen. I have a fairly old TV

I did this twice today with some green crack popcorn buds. They came out smelling good, tasting good, and still one bong hit potent.

I have a 1000w microwave and put the buds in for 10 seconds at 40% power until they felt dry to the touch. I think it was a total of 6-7 cycles but your mileage may vary so check for dryness after every one or two 10 second cycle.
