I'm in the same boat.
So far I've figured not too strong a feed, smaller more often feedings.
I'm considering a feed, splash of water, feed, splash of water, routine.
I've changed things this time, coming from 3 and 5 gallons w a 4-8 week veg. To 1 gal and 2-3 week veg.(6-10" tall at flip)

I'm not doing micro but have 4 different plants in what I consider 'small' pots, I used to use huge builder buckets as hempys, these are soil being fed coco nutes. I'm not actually sure the size in litres, but they measure 4" high and 5" diameter, will have pics tomorrow but due to technical reasons can't just yet.

Rootbound has been on my mind ever since but they seem to be doing fine flowering besides the obvious need for watering more often than larger pots. Tbh I still don't understand after reading various posts on whether roots grow during flower or not.

Also keep in mind that some dudes grow huge colas in party drink cups another phenomenon I don't get.

-Cannazym or similar to eat dead roots
- I'm not positive but i think you can trim the roots with scissors and add new soil below, sure i saw that done somewhere. obviously not in flower or with autoflowers i would think

Wouldn’t trip too much about size ... you are going straight 12/12. Plant will have a much shorter veg and move to sexxing out when mature.

You can grow a solo under 12/12 ... so there really isn’t much of an issue . If you were really concerned about root bound you would be on longer cycle.
Also it would make ZERO SENSE to up pot the container if you are going 12/12 from start. I recommend lst training / bonzai for micro grows.

The only thing that I see as being root bound is that there is less soil to buffer out your feed and water. I just cut a beer cup grow (0.5 L), had perlite as the grow media, the cup was just one big root mass, it looked more packed than a package of Chinese noodles (ate it once and threw the rest away, tons of salt). My water contained my feed and I watered it multiple times a day although I could have gotten away with once a day. I was trying to get the most out of it. The plant was happy till I did something wrong, burnt the leaves. I still managed to get 2 0z off her.

Feeding is ridiculously easy in micro grows.
If running good soil medium ( already ammended) like FFOF - all you do is add a scoop or so of soil to top dress - water in at proper ph and leave it alone.

No reason to overthink feeding in such a small container .... simple wet / dry period. Another option - Dry fertilizer “ scratched in “ at top soil - for your size about teaspoon ( + or - ) spread over and watered in . Run the feed about a week apart to limit heavy build up. Once a week.

It’s the same thinking with SOG grows ....

I run 1 gallon SOG style soil bags , and let it go under 12/12. Layered soil mix / myco / EWC and water only grow.

In a way , I prefer 1 gallons - less medium waste and full use of root mass.

Clone from a stalk I cut off a clone on May 8. Blurgaberry CBD Feminized 1:1 CBD:THC

Flip on June 4.

I ran out of the Maxibloom, it was no longer being imported to Canada, and I went to a garden store fert. I think I nutrient locked her out, I flushed and then continued on. Thinking about it, I poked holes in the side of the cup to give the roots some air, might have helped.

I had mine on 24 hrs before I flopped her. Also the clone was taken from a plant going into flower. Look up mostorcropping. Other than that I am new to all this. Just got lucky I guess.

No problem. I did a Hempy type of grow, the bottom inch or so held some of the water. As the plant went into flower I put some tape around some of the lower holes so it had more to drink from. And drink it did.
