how often to replace soil...?

Should I replace or rejuvinate? I just got a BUNCH of Fox Farm ocean and everyone it is GREAT. I think I could use it for 2 girls. Then I would think I would need to buy more which is suspect because then I'm brining in new soil on a regular basis ans its expensive. If I can rejuvinate, what do I use? Pearl lite? Gwano? And how much per 5 gallon bucket? Will I need to flush? I do use some chemical fertz like big bloom etc... I heard something should Molasis helping with the salts... All an any help is appreciated.thanks!!!

don't re-use it. learn to make your own mix

it would be best to replace but I would not reuse more then once. your gonna want to flush break up the root ball and get any clumps or roots out. the perlite and shit should be fine but the nutrients in the soil will be depleted but since your using chemical nutes you should be fine. but if you had any bug problems I wouldn't reuse it.

get coco for your next grow, its easy to re-use. like the guys said pull out as much root as possible and then flush it heavily. im sure theres a Canna product that rejuvenates soil as well.

If you have the time, space and energy, you can easily, depending on the scale of what your doing, recycle that soil. I reused the same 20 cubic feet of Miracle Grow for two years when I first started growing. If you would like me to go into how I did it, I will.

I was operating a 400HPS only. You sound like you may be bigger than that.

ya I heard coco is real good for reusing urban grower did a video on it he also had a side by side grow in sunshine mix one used one new and the used shit did a little better.

How much was it? Dont be cheap with marijuana use fresh new soil every time with perlite blood +bone etc. I can get 20 oz out of a 25 litre bag of soil, 3 cups of bb, potash, perlite divided into 2 large pots, so for about $50 which covers it i make $5000. Dont mess around if you want to make a living out of this. Also by using old soil ,gnats, mites etc carry into the next grow.

I never have nor plan on recycling soil! I am not looking down on anyone that does!!! Ya do what is good for you and your budget, or put simply you can do whatever the fuck you want! IMO by the time you clean the soil, flush out the soil as good as it needs to be, and Dura mentioned BUYING a product to rejuvenate your soil? Souds like a big fucking mess and hastle to me, you're only going to use 1/2 bag of FFOF to grow a lady out in a five gallon. I can get FFOF for $18 a bag so only saving $9 per plant and lowering quality of soil for a plant that I am going to spend 4 months growing just isn't worth it to me!


My question to you is what do you want to cut in your grow room? Why not switch from HID's to Florals? Fuck it you will save a shitload of money on your power bill? Why even use FFOF? Get the store off brand and save a ton of money? Genetics, soil, water, lights. Those are things you really don't want to cut corners on or overlook. Just my two cents brotha! But it really doesn't matter what you grow them in as long as you are getting the results YOU want then who gives a fuck what anyone else thinks!!!

I have a little space. I'm only using a couple 600 waters, buy I have totes and a wheel barrel that I could dump out the soil. Break out the roots. Flush and add organic material. So if I can get it so its flushed clean. Add a bit of pearl lite, that's where I become lost. It would be from a 5 gallon bucket and I could add earthworm casings and gwano, but I don't know what else or how much.I don't mind getting dirty and mixing it well and lugging it around. I guess I'm asking for specifics on what to use to mke the soil good again, what to add and how much per gallon or 5 gallon bucket.I don't want to burn the girls by using too much and I don't want to not have enough where they barely surive, which is why I'm reaching out here. To some experts. Again, I'll lug, I'm work horse. I just want to do it right and keep it descrete as possible, brining in bags of soil is very suspect I feel. Thanks again all.You kick ass!!

So, I guess the best thing would be to just take a couple of bucks, go buy bunch of the soil and store it, That way its once a year or so and I keep good soil while still being descrete. Thanks again all. That's what I'll do.
