I have never cloned before but I plan on starting. I was wondering how often you can take cuttings from a mother plant and how many can you take at a time. Any help will be much appreciated and rep will be given for knowledgable answers. Thanks in advance.

I take as many as i like from mine at any one time , obviously working from the lower part and leaving the new growth alone.
Recovery time before attacking again is key for me ............

There is no set time as such , it's a mother plant , so you have kept her healthy a while , make sure you "Pinch were you cut" , this helps the plant , look for new node growth appearing near were you have cut before and let it kick in...

2-3 weeks on mine......ish

It's also worth noting that , cloning , is indirectly another form of "clipping or pruning" and if done correctly can actually encourage vigorous growth.......

Well it will sure keep it lower and bushier ,
i have never done this , only with the intent of growing more bud sites for flowering plants off........

Do most strains clone about the same?
No,
some prove more diffulcult than others ,
There are even some strains that breeders say are un-cloneable ,
Everything i have tried , around 20 strains , has cloned no problem though, some take longer than others...

no some take longer than others. some need special attention with water temps. some clone faster with the tips of leaves cut off. depends on the chemicals used. i recommend LIQUID hormex, dip n grow, or dyna-gro(havent used this one but heard great things)
