How muchlonger... trichome pics

Hey just saw your post. Here is my opinion from my experience...

1) I have had a couple big fan leaves do the same thing for no reason as well and it doesn't seem to effect the plant at all.
2)Cut the dead leaves off because they are only wasting energy that could be spend on growing some buds.
3)You should water the plant as soon as the top of the soil starts to dry out ( usually every couple days ) your plant needs more water now then ever because of its size and growth. The leaves should perk up in a couple hours if it is the watering.

Hopes this helps!

woah...this couldn't be much worse...

1) The yellowing leaves that you are seeing are leaves suffering from an N deficiency late in flower. There's nothing that you can do about it at this point and it's not alarming on your plant by any means. You should NOTE that you had yellowing late in flower and an N defeciency and if you grow this same strain again, add some N during weeks 3 and 4 to give them enough to make it to the end.

2) Don't "cut" leaves off your plant until they are prety gone. I can usually just pull them off when they are dead enough to leave. The leaves are yellowing and dying because of the aforementioned N defeciency. If you pull the leaf off it'll just start itself on another leaf. Let it eat the N from the leaves as it needs to.

3) You are watering properly by lifting the pots and watering when they are light. Don't start overwatering now by following the above advice.

A couple of questions and notes.

Questions first:
1) How long have they been flowering?
2) How big is your grow room?
3) What kind of lights are you using?

-This kind of information is usually offered up when asking for advice for future reference.

Notes:
1) You need to get something to test the PH of your water. Can't grow MJ without properly PHed water. Okay, that's a bit of an overstatement, but it's very difficult and a lower percentage chance of success without properly PHed water. You need to check the PH of your runoff, some test strips should do the trick from a pet store or something. It will at least tell you if you are @ ph 4.5 or 8.5 (way too low and way too high).

2)the plants look really good, i can't believe someone gave you a plant that had already been flowering that long...Did he/she have a security risk? Could this security risk extend to you?

NO dude, he gave me the seeds. The rest is all me :)

I really didnt focus on maintaining a sched. for my plants but I would guess that it's been 5 weeks.
To answer your questions, my room is of a decent size, it's a walk in closet with nothing in there, fits 6 2m plus plants, but I only have 2 :P
All walls are painted white, they were vegged under 400w MH then flowered under 2X400 HPS, one for side growth (I rotate the pot every few hours if I'm around) and one above em.

Question, I want it to be organic, Im boiling blood meal and bone meal between every few waterings with AN Iguana Juice bloom (please comment).

I ordered HANNA PH/EC tester, cost me $270, but dont have the time to figure out how to use it, and suppliers never sent me PPM calibration solution!

What is the story with Hanna not supplying the buffer solutions anymore? This is like the 3rd time I've seen this! What use is a PH meter without the solution to calibrate it?

Well I'm not an expert at organics, but I think you're on track.

I don't know how much of each you're using either so it doesn't really help and only you will know what is working by looking at your plants. That's part of the enjoyable part of organic growing.

You are using the right things if that's what your concern is you are getting N, P, and K and should get plenty of micro nutrients along the way. It's how much of each and at what times is the game of it all with that stuff. It's the game of it all with all ferts, but you've chosen the most enjoyable and difficult path. You can't simply go on peoples past experiences.

Good luck, keep an eye on your plants and if they look green and healthy, keep on doing what your doing. I would up the Bone Meal and lesson the Blood Meal the further along you go. That's why it's important to keep track of WHERE you are in flowering.

Probably safe to say that's a good move right now.

OLk, thanks a lot. I will up the bone meal in take and lessen on blood meal every few waterings. I hate AN iguana juice bloom/grow, it stinks! have to use it for the micro-nutes though. When does bud usually increase in mass, 2 weeks before I harvest is what I gathered. True?

Also, anyone experienced a tall plant's (2m) yield? Totally natural, no topping/lsting/ or pruning.

As far as packing on bulk the only the only thing that I can say is that it does happen on healthy happy plants. On unhealthy plants, not so much. It doesn't seem to just BOOM pack on weight in my experience like others have stated. I have found that it just continually grows and packs on weight day by day after about 4 weeks until it's done.

Ed Rosenthall, Jack Herrer, Jorge Cereventes etc. . . all agree on this point. They are ready when they are ready.

As a general rule/guideline, most people either do 50/50 or 60/40, that is the split between yellow/brown hairs(glands) and white ones. It is a visual process. Just like taking a magnifier to the trichromes, all visual.

I am used the 60/40 method with great results. At this point, they are usually not creating much more thc. The plant is signalling it is ready, and about to begin its deminishing for the winter/spring(remember, they don't know they are indoors). You dont want a plant that is diminishing, you want it right before this point. That would be the peek potency.
