kind of depressing to every first timer, you see these big ass bomba claud growing but once its cut and dried its a bit smaller, i remember on my first grow i had buds the size of your fist but once it was cut and dried itwas more like buds the size of your big toe. 
the way i try to estimate is that 60% is water and the rest is bud.to help out with this you can starv the plants for water right when your about to cut them so that it drys faster and fucks with you a bit less. Remember the plant is bloughted with water thats why its so huge looking.
