80% of the wet weight is your dry weight usually
what??
do you mean that water cured bud once dried is 80% of the weight that the buds would have been with a standard cure?

if you mean that buds on the growing plant only weigh 20% more than dried and cured buds you are very misinformed.

20% of wet weight is what I am sure he meant to say. Someone earlier mentioned 15% of wet weight.

Water Cure
Unlike other curing methods, the water cure is performed after the marijuana is dried

that part is wrong, you dont dry it then water cure and then re-dry. you water cure it then dry it. one of its advantages is it only needs a week of water cure and a week to dry and then is ready to smoke while you would have to wait 3-4 more weeks for jar curing.

i noticed after water curing that the buds are dry within 2 days of coming out of the jar. not a week... not a week at all. I hung them at about 10pm, and by 1pm the next day the popcorn was dry enough to smoke.

once again, the bud was flavorless, and in my opinion a waste of good herb, but that is what water curing gets you.

yeah, i dont know why i said a week. i guess i was just being on the safe side, lol. more like 2-3 days. water curing works best for bud that hasnt been flushed b4 harvest imo, if you've got great awesome nugs i'd never water cure more than a bud or 2 of it. it would be a waste to use it on much more than that. one tactic ive used is to mix the water cured with norma cured to give it some flavor back, i had to harvest my 1 plant b4 i could flush it and im not a fan of smoking ferts. I agree with you. water curing is only for special circumstances really, or if you've got super sensitive lungs i guess.
