Hi there everyone, i would just like to know if there is a percentage of water when watering your plants in Soil. Like 1 gallon of water per a 3 gallon pot.
Any reference guide would be handy.
Cheers.

i try to keep them on a tight schedule when it comes to watering..i flower in either 3.5 or 5 gal containers of sunshine # 2 or foxfarm. i give them a quart of water every 2 days..with a feeding every 3rd watering. lotta ways to skin a cat..but overwatering is not good at all...obviously there are ur exceptions..if u see one is drinking more than others, u can feed it more often, i try to get it to the point where im dumping Zero water on2 my floor from my contaniers weep holes.

when it looks dry i water until i see water pour out the drain holes. feeding is almost every 4-5 days with a water in between. at first it seemed much but the plants tell me they like it so i do what they say. so the answer to your question from my opinion is 1/2 gallon for a 2 gallon pot seems to be right for me. im only on my 3rd grow so still expirementing with nutes, water, trimming.

Hi , feed your plant's with your chemical until it comes out the bottom of your container.

You will know next time when to feed by picking up your container by the weight of it .

never over feed yor plant's they will survive a drout more then a drowning

As the plant's get bigger the more they are going to need feeding. The most inportant information i can give you is to leach your plant once a week to prevent chemical build up.

I grow in 1.5 gallon containers leach 8 to 10 liter of water once a week .

I would produce 4 once plants in 1.5 gallon containers 20 plant,s 5.5 to 6 pounds every 8 weeks. under 6000 watts of lighting

Th elooser your soil mix is the less amount of water will be needed. Typically ppl overwater because their soil is too compact. If it takes three times as long for water to pour out of the bottom (indicator of its had enough), you will use three times the amount of water. Then to compound that, the soil compaction will keep the water on the roots.

I think a gallon is an awful lot for a 3 gallon pot. I can usually water 15-17 plants with 4 gallons of water and have every one drain.

exactly cracker jax said it all..just as i said above..i use a quart jug ...in a 5gallon bucket of water pulled from a 65 gallon rez ( im still hand watering ya i know about the wands and pumps))......i do my mix..or st8 ph adjusted water depending on day..and about 20-30 plants use the 5 gallons every other day w/ precisely ea a quart.. 1 gallon of water for a 3 gal pot is ridiculous if ur doing that every other day.. but soil mixes have a lot to do w/ it.. my sunshine or foxfarm is light and fluffy...
