I soak mine in RO water for about 24 hours in a dark, warm drawer (I have a fan heater and thermostat in there to keep it warm).
After this period of time the seeds will have sunk, and most, if not all will have cracked, displaying a mere millimeter of a root tip.
I plant these into 8oz cups (1/4 inch deep), with my potting mix (soil), spray 2 - 3 times with a sprayer (RO water), cover the top in plastic wrap with a few holes punched in the top. This boosts humidity. Back in the drawer they go.
Water is sprayed twice daily to maintain moistness.
Generally, in about 3 days most of the seeds have sprouted.
At this point they go under the fluoros. 1 23W CFL each (6500k) and in another 24 - 36 hours, the sprouts are upright and are showing first signs of growth.
Hope this helps.
