how much longer?

You need a scope to tell when they are done, otherwise you'll sell yourself short.

Get a 30-100x scope and look at the color of your trichs - that's is what matters, not red hairs or general appearance of the bud. Most people chop way too early, IMO.

Trichs are either clear, cloudy, or amber and they appear in that order, they start off clear, go to cloudy, and eventually degrade into the amber huge. You want almost all cloudy with some amber - I personally like about 25% amber trichs. If you don't see any amber, I suggest you wait until you do.

If you can't afford a scope at the moment, I suggest harvesting in at least two stages. That way you can see what you preffer. Every stran is different, and the 25% amber rule is just guidline. I would chop a branch now to hang, than chop some in a week, then chop the rest in two weeks. This will give you an idea what you preffer and in all honesty, even if you chopped now you would have some killer bud.

I give my plants only water and a 'sweet' product for at least two weeks out from harvest.

If your actually going to flush your medium, meaning running 3x the amount of water through it as the container holds( 3 gallon pot, 9 gallons of water), a week of water after that is fine. If you not going to actually flush your medium, I suggest starting water(or water and a sweetener) two weeks prior to harvest.

check out the new fotos, i dont know what to do because i was planning to flush for 1 week but now i am afraid not to harvest too late ,reduce THC and increase CBD. i stopped using big bud 13 days ago and i watered my plant 2 days ago(i am using biobizz fertilizers).what do you think that i have to do?

Looking at the trichs is the only way to really tell, but I bet you wouldn't be dissapointed if you chopped now. I would chop some now, then chop the rest later, and compare the end finished products.

A lot of people warn against too much amber, but I like at least 25%. THC doesn't degrade to cbd - that's a completely different cannabiniod that is influenced by genetics. THC degrades to CBN, there is alot of confusion on the topic. If would be AMAZING if thc degraded into CBD- cbd is the most medicinal cannabinoid.

People are scared that waiting too long will produce too much of a couch lock effect, but in my experience ALL my friends/family preffer every strain I grow with a minimum of 25% amber. When I chop as soon as I see the first signs of amber the bud is amazing, but not nearly as 'potent', IMO. I think a more complex and diverse cannabiniod profile will always produce a better high in the long run, but again, that's just my opinion. Some people like to chop a little early for 'day time' meds. I just think it's weaker meds, lol.

that's a pretty good description of what takes place^

A scope is your best friend when you grow AND smoke. I feel like a total snob when I whip it out to check someone elses bud they bought or grew. Most of the time I find that 'work weed' is choped way too early, and sometimes I check some FIRE someone has and it's like 50% amber! There is alot more than just THC that is responsible for the high - including terpenes. That is how two different strains can have the same exact cannabiniod profile, but one can make you sleepy and the other one be stimulating - the differnece in the two strains is their terpene profile. It's pretty interesting stuff if you do some reseach :)
