The other issue/myth of flushing is to get rid of the phosphorus, which if you don’t flush will lead to your bowl of weed looking like a 4th of July Sparkler.
Perhaps the exception to flushing would be soil growers where the plants are getting their nutrients primarily from the soil instead getting it directly in their water.
Grow weed EASY is supposed to be for noobs. Like me. Best part about the site is you don’t have to put up with angry trolls.
Is there a link for Grow weed midlevel? Or advanced?
Again, this place can be a bit discouraging to come to for hep or advice. No knocks, this place has been around for a long time, and has developed its veterans. Just like any other long term site.
They do have some good info on growweedeasy, but there's a bit of bro science there too.
As long as you are happy with the results, that's all that really matters.
Flushing (leaching) doesn't hurt anything unless you do it too early and starve your plants.
But it's not necessary if you don't overfeed.
I do realize that the Phosphorus issue is something that I picked up when I first began growing when someone told me that I should flush for a week at the end, and I asked why.
Seems to be a widely held myth regarding a reason people flush at the end.
I’d say 98% of the people on this site will ARGUE that it isn’t a Phosphorus issue, it’s a curing issue when you get a sparkly bowl of weed.

I don't flush or cure regardless of method. Hydro, soil, coco, etc... I grow, harvest, dry, and jar. I do dry slowly in a cool environment for about two weeks or more. It depends on how dry the product is that determines when it goes in the jars. Sometimes longer. I don't have time to burp jars and check humidity. Would the weed taste better if I did? Possibly. But it tastes pretty damn good already and I'll make the trade off for the simplicity.
If flushing worked the way people claim why would it matter if it was soil, hydro, or coco?? The plants are still absorbing the nutrients through the roots, why wouldn't it leave the same way or be "used up" the same way?
People should believe that organically grown in soil tastes the worst. If soils made of minerals and organic matter thats constantly being broken down it's impossible to flush. Why doesn't an inert medium that the grower has 100% control over produce the cleanest product? Can anyone explain this please?
Here's a solution to this flushing debate. Let's call it what it is, nutrient remobilization that's all that's happening. Why note promote proper feeding instead of pushing a theory that plants can be cleaned out with some extra water or skipping a feeding. It's been posted in this thread a couple of times that this plant can absorb and store metals at toxic levels without showing toxicity in the leaves, so you have no idea what you're consuming whether you flush or not. Pay attention to what the secret sauces and magic potions contain and you don't have to worry about nutrient remobilization.
