i check on my plants at the porch at nights sometimes since im not at home most of the time when its daylight.
i turn on the lights at the porch and check on them for like 3 minutes..

they are growing just fine.. but who know, maybe they will turn hermie on me later on..

Im not sure but would think it has to do with intensity and duration since outdoor plants get light from other stars at night.

i think that the stars and the moon are not in the spectrum that the plants are using so it doesn't bother them..

To my understanding you can use a green light with no ill effects on your plants since they don't 'see' the green spectrum.

any amout of light thats not normall outdoor light star/moon wont change nothing, but indoor light leaks could stress your plant and make the hermie.
as for 12/12 i think 14/10 would be the most, then they would revert to veg, i veg in 18on 6off, and how long well I had the power go out and burn a
timer, well i didnt check on then for 3 days i was camping and shit, well i fixed the timer and thats all it took they reverted all bud productio stoped
and it took 10 days to get on track plus there was some weird leaves that came of it.

I've read numerous stories about green light forcing plants back into veg'. Don't even bother.

If you need to see your plants either take the risk or take a photo with the flash on. It's everyone's own call really.

I checked my first plant a few times during 12 off. It hermie'd in week 11. Don't know whether it was because of that or genetics, but lights off means lights off for me now.

I was told something by someone at the cannabis cup many years ago to do with time scedules, and that is the sun does not go out for 12 hours then come back on for 15 mins then goes back out again,a little light will not harm the plants but i would advice any grower not ti interupt the 12/12 off lighting scedule, even more so if useing femanised seeds has these have more chance of flipping and produceing seeds..............................tyke..........................................................
