Hi I'm Tom . I'm just curious how many watts is too many? I've been kicking around the idea of growing to help my dad out by making him vape oils and coconut oil. He's been in and out of the hospital for 2 years. Started with bladder cancer, surgeries and now they think he might have bone cancer havnt run tests yet because of the shape he's in. I'm really hoping the pain he has which made the doctor mention it is just from being in a hospital bed for so long. now he's finally home and he occasionally asks for his vape pen and usually ends up wanting to eat afterwards. All I want to do is help in anyway I can but I don't wana over do it and have the cops at my door. I'm thinking about setting up a perpetual grow. I just wanna make sure I don't pull too much power. Let me know what you guys think is a safe number. I have a 600 watt and 400 watt hps/mh combos both dimmable and a 125 watt cfl I figured I could start under the cfl and move them to the 400 than to the 600. The 600 can be switched to 250 or 400 and the 400 can switched to 50%(200) and 75%(300).

Any input is really appreciated thanks

You won't really turn heads unless your running 10k plus. Just pay your bill and you should have no worries if your in a legal state.

Too bad New York is not up to that yet they're going at a snail pace with everything related to marijuana. People are pushing for it he has a NY medical card and I'm licensed as his caregiver but that gives me no rights other than going to one of the extremely high priced dispensaries to buy oils. but that's not really doable with all his other stuff we got going on and trying to keep the mortgage and bills paid. It's just a bad situation and I'm guessing I have no choice but to sit idly by until New York finally catches up to the rest of the country... I'll have my equipment ready for whenever they get around to it...

I don't think anyone would think anything of something as small as 600w. I have about 1600w going and i don't worry one bit.

I am in a NON medical state and run 1200 watts of cob and another 800-ish watts of T5 and leds not to mention a mini split AC unit and filters and fans. Bout 18 months now and no worries at all. If any issues arise for you, it won't be from suspicious power usage, itl be loose lips or nosey neighbors/friends.

@FlyHigh589 @MonkeyPickAss thanks for the replys. I'm getting to the point where I won't care if someone has something to say this is about his life not making a quick buck. I'm not hurting anyone and if someone came after me. They'd have to be a real piece of work to still charge me after seeing the situation and with how close it is to being legal.
