I dont know, however long it takes to harvest 14,000 watts worth of plants every 56 days......... A few, I'd guess. Not sure what your after though, as this doesnt relate at all to the topic at hand. :)
The topic is how much are the dispensaries paying. We are discussing how much time and effort is put into our grow and how much 'reimbursement' we get 'donated'. I saw you have a larger scale grow, so I asked an approximate?

Fair enough... :-) Ms Kitty spends around 5 hours per day, except on harvest days and transplanting days (which are the same days if possible) when its 8 hours or so max. We dont have dispensaries, we just sell at market price whatever we can get for it we get for it. I help around half of the time there, and its mostly smoking too. :) :)

Hard Work? not so much...
There's a huge investment of time in those first few cycles where you're figuring out what you're doing, dealing with problems that arise due to your ignorance, or other unforeseen circumstances. Myself I got every pest on earth (fungus gnats, spider mites, root aphids, and russet mites - the worst pest on earth) from a bag of Happy Frog potting soil. Fighting those, and dealing with the inherent pH problems of that soil (no one told me I needed dolomite), so that I could still get a crop (and it turned out damned good!) took me a good 40 hours of work every week. If you're not having problems, I could see it only taking an average of 10-20 hours a week to properly manage a 12 plant grow. However, that's still a lot of time if you have kids or a full time job with long hours.

I agree with most of that. I am experimenting with different systems. But I thought we were talking about being a caregiver and growing 60 plants, not 12. There is a tremendous difference between 12 plants in soil and maintaining aeroponic systems, dwc, etc. I am not saying growing weed sucks! I love it, don't want to do anything else, but I can't remember a week that I didn't spend atleast 50 hours in one way or the other with my grow. (directly or indirectly). I could spend less time for sure, but at what cost? My patients know me, and they know that I take the time and care and patience to love our plants and try to get the full potential from the plants.

With that many plants I'm sure it's a ton of work! Just citing my own experience, my grow is small - I go for bigger plants in DWC, plan is to get a perpetual crop going with four flowering simultaneously under a 400w HPS at all times. Just finished up with an indica dominant that grew to monster proportions under that lamp, had it all to itself... :D The base of the stalk is TWO INCHES thick. Grew this in my bedroom!

I am going to build a few training rails today to try my first scrog. I can only imagine the time I will put into playing with those plants and training them. lol. Spending only 10 hours a week with my plants?! I would go crazy!(er).

I feel ya Gladstoned! Personally, I'm in my soil garden 40 + hours a week but I'm not always tending just to the plants. I'm cleaning up after mixing nutes and/or transfers, setting up something (new tent, new bucket cloner, adding vent system) or tearing it down (post harvest), inputting or just researching how to lavish my girls with the best care I can provide. Since I'm a newbie, I would be in my "lady cave" after working 9-5 until pass the late, late show. Not because I had to but because I wanted to be in my personal wonderland as often as possible. :bigjoint:

Regarding dispensaries, The standard Oz donation was $200 on the green mile (aka Michigan Ave, Lansing) from what heard from other growers. I know hydroworld would say they would give $200 an Oz and they would get you patients to fill your count. (as if I wanted any patient I didnt personally know..lol) If you thought your overages were worth more then a dispensary offered you, you rented a locker at C.A. and set your own donation price.

check the numbers. I spend about 2 hours a day in my garden tending to my crop. If i add up all the hours (not including cost) at min wage I should make 1776 off each plant. but that never happens. Its not easy money. things happen, shit goes wrong, they are like kids. needing lots of attention and care.

and note this is if you are a caregiver, such as myself. I have 2 patients that legitimately have serious issues.

The standard donation WAS..that's the problem. The dispensaries are for the most part closed...leaving a void for the distribution of 'overages'....I'd be happy to find anyone that buys overages these days...

The 3 in my small town are all open and doing just fine, and so are a lot of the shops in Ann Arbor.
Dispensaries closed on their own out of respect for the most part which is why they were able to open back up with out any big deal being made about them..

Have you even used the site "weed maps" ? Type in your zip and they show all of the shops and most list their hours and available meds, and some even post their prices. Check it out, you might be pleasantly surprised ...

Weed Maps is good. There is an app for THC Finder and Cannex also to find dispensaries. Bud Trader online, but I don't think they have an app.

Dude, I have never heard of a dispensary asking for a front.. That's too funny.
It's very common. I take fronts too. I will take peoples overages for no money down at all. Top-shelf only please. I am expanding and I will also take grow equipment for no money also. Act now!
