i have an 8 bag set of 5 gallon bubble bags and also the bubble machine(washer). I have about 900 g of properly cured and and dried bud that i want to convert to bubble hash.. yes, i know you can use trim but I have lots of bud and this is what I want to run.

I have read that 200 g of bud is the top amount you should run in the 5 gal machine and bags. ive also read 300g.

Anyone know for sure? i just dont want to put more than necessary in the freezer beforehand.

thanks gang

Any particular reason you chose water over dry ice? Ive never done water but I ran a pound of trim and such at once in my toms tumbler after food processing it into dust. End result was powder more potent than regular flower less potent than oil... Can smoke it by the bowl, tastes amazing. Dry ice makes all the good shit fall off through a screen. If I had a field I would probably just bang my thousands of kolas on a screen like they did in the olden days. Temple Balls for days and months and years....

it's been around for a while. Water and ice seems 100% easier to source. likewise, ive never had hash made from dry ice. so i get your comment.

no idea how they compare. ive made bubblehash before but with smaller amounts and not using the washing machine so I want to do a maximum capacity load.

Yeah its literally the same screen so I'm just curious how different they are. Dry ice is pretty easy to get these days. The grow shop i like best sells it in these pellets- so easy to work with. And its like 70 cents a pound i got ten pounds and it was way to much for my one pound trim run.

I just like the dry ice because you get an end product that you can literally scoop into a bowl and smoke. So hard dealing with liquid/solid concentrates.

thanks for the picture. I just might try that
Yeah watch a youtube video on it and youll be a pro its pretty simple. The toms tumbler makes it insanely easy to make but even doing it with a bucket and 150ish micron bag, its not hard. I made piles of it... and this was turning garbage into something really good. Imagine starting out with good bud and making it much better....

yeah I've only done bubble hash, with ice and water. I finally watched videos on the dry ice method a couple weeks ago. Yup! I'm doing it that way instead.

Its worth giving a try at least. Call around grow shops and see if you can find someone with with the dry ice pellets.

Just wondering why you chose water over dry ice? Not tryinna start a fight or anything ive legit never had water hash, is it something amazing im missing out on?
It's not water hash, you still gotta freeze it and use shit loads of ice. Just wet ice instead of dry lol.

There is a liquid air place that sells it cheap by the bag...only know cause i went for the kids, due to a school experiment.

Why not just do it in a bucket still? Then its all contained. Just shake the shit out of it, while you hold the lid on?! Wouldn't it work?
Maybe if you had a way to suspend the bubble bag but the kief needs to drop out and stay out of the bag. Ive never seen it done that way but might work. Either way as long as you have a glass table or whatever (something big flat and smooth) its easy to scrape it up into a pile...

You can easily run half your 900g bud stash at one time. Definitely do a second run for each batch, bud will give you a nice second run.

Me, personally, I can't see why you would want dry ice when you have a washing machine, lol.

Thank you for your help! That’s great news. I’ll do a trial run with 450g! I’m going to do a series of very short washes starting with 1-2 mins and increasing each wash time by another 1-2 mins each til it’s not worth it. Just experimenting
