THESE TWO WERE GROWN FROM SEED(STRAIN IS AN UNKNOWN PURPLE STRAIN)IN LATE JUNE 08'. SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST GROW IM GUESSING THEY WILL BE DONE SOON. MY QUESTION IS HOW MUCH MORE FATTER CAN I EXPECT THEM TO GET BEFORE HARVEST WHICH I PLAN ON DOING THE FIRST WEEK OF NOV. BY THE WAY I AM ONLY GIVING THEM MOLASSES TWICE A WEEK TIL HARVEST. AND SUN IS ONLY DIRECT ON PARTS OF BOTH, WHICH WILL EXPLAIN WHY I HAVE THEM ANCHORED TO TH SIDE WITH STAKES.............ANY INPUT IS VERY MUCH WELCOME!!:bigjoint::eyesmoke:bongsmilie:blsmoke:

Nice Dude!!! Good job! Looks like everyone who grows in there back yard have the same problem the sun passes over leaving them in the shade my Sour Diesel looks totally deformed the whole plant is growing towards the sun it looks long and fat but the nugs are getting huge some are laying on the ground growing towards the light I only got a week or two left. But from what I have read yes the last week is suppose to be the best when your tricombs are 1/3 amber (couch lock high) then you are ready to harvest you probally know this but by watching the tricombs you can judge when the last week is apoun or near. No expert but maybe some of the experts can back this up or give better info

Awesome looking plants. Your phenomenol bud growth in terms of density usually occurs within the last three weeks prior to harvest. Now to accurately determine the proper harvest window then you would have to utilize a handheld microscope preferably 60-100 times the magnification. Depending on what high you want your product to do then that would determine the percentage of milky white trichroems versus amber colored trichromes. For instance more of a cerebral high then predominantly if not all trichromes as a milky color. If you want a severe couchlock high then you want your trichromes predominantly amber. If you want a best of both then harvest when the trichromes are milky white and amber at a ratio of 50/50. When I notice two amber trichromes that is when I commence flushing and in about 10 to 14 days then most of the time which of course is strain dependant and also the environement you are providing your plants would give me a rough 50/50 ratio of milky white to amber trichromes. Best of luck.

ummmm...BS....You harvest when the plant is ready to be harvested, you do NOT harvest early trying to achieve different high's.If you want and uppity high yet still stony get a indica dominat hybrid,or sativa if you want more head feeling high or go full indica or sativa but every bud shuold be harvested at the end of flower not when you still have 2-3 weeks left then you loose all your weight and all the extra potency added with it:weed:get a pocket scope or magnifying glass and wait till about 90% of the hairs have changed color and died, the leafs should feel crispy, and the tips should be horning like the devil and also the trichomes should be about 80-90% amber with a few milky ones around:clap:

If thats the case, when do you know when to start flushing? When do you stop adding flowering nutes? What do you think about adding molasses t0k3s?

Nahh this post is bullshit, there is truth to what the different colored trichomes do to your high, givin it isnt much of a difference though. But you want bout 40% of the tichomes to be amber usually, THC degradation begins after that and also any light after harvest starts diminishing the THC levels slowly, Cure in the dark.

Usually stop adding flowering nutes within the last two weeks, want all it outa the buds.
And as far as molasses, works great for me I like to dissolve/stir bout 1 to 2 tablespoons in a few cups of water then add it to a gallon.
If not for the buds then the Mg and the potassium are great for the plant still.

Those are some juicy buds ya got there, Congrats :weed:

When will people learn???
Cannabinoid Biosynthesis
Since resin secretion and associated terpenoid and cannabinoid biosynthesis are at their peak just after the pistils have begun to turn brown but before the calyx stops growing, it seems obvious that floral clusters should be harvested during this time. More subtle variations in terpenoid and cannabinoid levels also take place within this period of maximum resin secretion, and these variations influence the nature of the resin’s psychoactive effect.......Now you see, it effects how pyscho active the thc is, harvest early its less, harvest later toward end of peak flower and it increases. The only reason people get a head type feeling high by early chops is because they are smoking the unmature form of the bud and its not really getting them high but more a buzz.

Were not talking bout harvestin at fucking 35 or 40 days here, were just saying within the 3 to 4 day period of PEAK POTENCY theres a bit of play, so calm down :hump:

I am calm, its the noobs with 6 posts that need to calm down with bs information...Your right there is 3-4 day window or so but thats after its matured and reached peak potency then you harvest before thc degrades..you were talking about harvesting earlier with milky trichomes as opposed to letting the trichomes amber up so you can get a head high or w/e it is,im simply saying thats bs peak potency is not based on colors but really the stage of life the plant is in and the degration of the plant and thc.notice how bud with milky or clear trichomes does not get you high compared to amber its because the thc was able to mature and finalize its process.also terpines whice plays the roll of smells and tastes also comes along with mature bud...Dont always listen to what people post online try experimenting and see the actual results your self.by the way welcome to the site:-P
