How Much Fan

Hey,
I made a bunch of noob mistakes, and basically my seedling stretched too much, and I needed to transplant into its final pot at 7 days old. It was over 6" long, and unable to prop up.

But now I have it 2" away from a 42 Watt CFl and about 8" from 2 26W CFL (Can't get theses closer without getting the 42w closer) and I also bought a fan today. How much wind should be on my plant? The leaves are blowing pretty good now, doesn't look uncomfortable, but definitely blowing around.

Also, it is cool in my box now. The fan is taking away alto of heat. I don't have a thermometer, but it doesn't seem hot. My fan is actually a heater, so I could turn it on, or is cooler better. Anyways, let me know.

well first and foremost you NEED a thermometer WITH a humidity reading on it - this is a must - you can pick them up for around $10

second of all - you want your fan to be blowing in a OSCillating way onto your plants - not DIRECTLY onto it - just have it occasionaly blowing onto it - too much will promote vigorious stem growth and your plant will put alot of its energy into this rather than node, leave, bud production - dont have your plant BLOWING around - a nice gentle breeze will be sufficient

light, heat, water are the main components INVEST IN YOUR ENVIROMENT AND YOU WILL REAP THE REWARDS

hope this helps :)

So I bought the thermometer with a humidity reading today. The temperature is 82 F and the humidity is 40%. I also bought a lamp, and brought one of the 23W lights within 2"-3" away, So I have a 42W 2" from the top, 23W 2" to one side, and again, the other side has a 23W, but about 8" away. And as for the fan, it does not ossculate. I had it turned off all day today, and now its on, but my grow door is only open a crack. So the leaves are just slightly moving. Should I leave it like this, or I was thinking of having the fan on a day, off another (since it does not osscualte)? I know not to overwater, and my plant DOES NOT need water, the soil is still moist. But is misting every day good, or bad? Not alot of misting, just enough to make the leaves shinny.

you might have done this to the current plant but if not. when ever you transplant a baby plant liek that and its really tall. just bury it in the new pot so the leaves are just above the soil.

theres this thing called windburn this guy was telling me about,,when the edges of your leaves thrash around against the rest of your plant and can cause damage..
