How much do buds shrink after drying?

a week from harvest!

just wondering how much will the buds shrink after they are dry?

i read that they lose about 75% of their weight in water but i dont necessarily think they will shrivel into small tiny buds... but idk if theres a set shrink factor.

1\2 at minimum. I just harvested 3lbs wet, i'm guessing I'll get 1 1\2 lbs or less

He meant volume, not weight.

you will loose about 70 percent water weight during the curing process

I had just a bit over 11 pounds and am down to 4.3 now and they are almost ready to start jar curing. All of this needed 7 screens when I started and now fits on 4 1/2 screens.

Prob be down to 3 lbs or so when proper dry.

this is why you get people selling damp weed all the time , ( in the uk anyway) because the more the weed drys out the less money they can charge .
i dont think ive ever bought cured weed in my area of the uk ever lol .

It'll be 1/3 the wet weight, so 70% water weight will be lost. example 90g will be 30g all said and done. 3 ounces becomes 1. Sucks.lol
