How much did you spend on your grow room?

That's decent. I think I spent £35 on my 200w CFL, £10 on the lead and fitting for it, £15 on nutrients and £5 on 2 wall fittings for b22 bayonet cfls.

£65 is not a bad price really :D

I spent more on seeds than equipment lol.
£23 on C99
£23 on Lemon Kush
£44 on Durban Poison

Pots were given to me by someone who stopped growing because he got busted.
12inch fan was given to me by the same person.
Timer was given to me by the same personal also.
Medium cost nothing as my mother bought it for her garden years ago, so I blagged it.

The rest of the stuff I had laying around the house. I use a closet so didn't have to pay out for a tent or anything. I get decent temps and humidity, 79F + 52% humidity after 12 hours of light and after 12hours of darkness the room is 72F + 34% humidity.

I am planning on upgrading all of my kit though, I'm just stuck between LED and HPS.
Stick with HPS/MH for now, LED technology is not quite there yet for the money, give it a few more years and I think LED will be the new thing.

I have spent close to a 1000$ just in seeds in the past 4 weeks.....But thats just me, I want to have everything on deck when I want it. As for equipment, When I started, I believe I spent 1700$ in a matter of 3-5 days (tent, filter, ballast, hood, bulb, adapters, timers, medium, etc...etc...). Thought I was satisfied....until I saw other things, lol. Last night I just spent 500$ more on a raptor xxxl hood and a solistek matrix with horti bulb....fml... and more money to spend coming up. For me, its upgrade upgrade upgrade, I think I got a fucking problem cause I cant stop buying shit. I believe literally I have about 3 thousand invested in equipment minus beans....

Cardboard lined with poster board and an obvious smoke detector (I never ran it unless someone was at home).... I used an old computer laptop cooler for exhaust up top to get rid of hot air, it has a carbon packets on each side and eliminated much of the odor. And a 4 inch fan blowing on them with a odor eliminating CFL right over that fan. Pretty effective.

Certainly less than 100 bucks, although I used some old fixtures from around the house like the laptop cooler and raided the aquarium stuff for the charcoal for the filter.

This little room would crank out perpetually very nice manicured grass under (give or take at any time) 350 watts cfl.

Mostly 1 to 2 gallon pots and plants 8 inches high.

Here is a shot of the inside right before it came down (white poster board on inside has been removed), on the last plant that was harvested way too early because I had to pack it up.

I harvested more than a year in there. a few lbs of overall came out of it. Being open like that keeping the heat down, with the carbon sucking device on top and the cfl odor eliminating bulb, my landlord could come and change the fixtures in the bathroom and never smell a thing..

---

Again, around 100 bucks using some shit around the house also. Unfortunately it is just a 'manual' flower box (I controlled all the lights, times etc).. I had to get creative and use a splitter with two cfl's for vegging and just moved it to whatever room was handy.

---

So ya.. pretty ghetto.. very little money invested.. but I had it down to a loving science and it got the job done. I kinda miss it.

the price ranges youre gona get in this thread are gona run from the low hundreds up to thousands of dollars. it all depends on how youre growing, cant really compare a commercial grow vs a personal one and try and figure out which one is better. im in between personal and commercial and just setting up my indoor grow, the space is 5.5 feet wide +6 feet tall and 3.5 feet deep, ive spent over a thousand dollars so far and havent harvested one gram yet haha. im going from outdoor to indoors and the cost is really adding up. free light and unlimited space cant be beat but then you gotta deal with outdoor problems like bugs, thieves, limited growing time and all that other stuff.

View attachment 2537732A picture from the 100 grow room. You tell MENIF it looks good. Cause I think it does
That's great proof you can build on the cheap and produce quality bud. But I think it's the growers preferences and growing conditions that create the wide range of equipment investment. For example, my room had to be 100% stealth within my home living environment. Zero smell, noise, and could not take up any liviable space. Each one of these conditions raised the cost of my grow substancially.

My grow room was built into a home office closet with pre-chambers and ducting going through my office cabinets, walls, and ceiling. This would allow me to smoke my herbs with no odor, veg plants, and flower up to 6 ft tall while remaining completely out of view.

My list so far... is over $1000.

Rebel 4" 172 cfm inline fan
4" insulated flex tube
Phresh 4" x 12" carbon filter
Speedster variable fan speed control
Virtual Sun 400 w HPS + MH light and hood
Wire Closet Shelving & Brackets 2' X 6'
A/C vents from local hardware store
24-hour analog light timer.
6" clip fan & 10" floor fan
Utility door lock set
1/4 round self stick rubber seals for door
Remote temp sensor, lg temp and humidity
90 degree 4" elbow for exhaust

This picture kind of sums it up. More pics click here

Where to start. I'm not going to include the cost of the addition that has no access from inside my home, 128sq.'. Most of it is old wash machine parts. For my upper res I scored a stainless steel liner from an old wash mashine with usable fittings. My lower res is a big old beer cooler. The timers are the cheap ones that do the half hour cycle thats why an upper and lower res. Two timers one pluged into the other to give a 1/2 hour watering every three days while I'm not there for the moms and for the budders one timer for the light (the intake, exhaust and canopy ossilating are all operated by this timer), another for the watering and one more to top up the res daily, $10 at yard sale. the two heavy duty relays that run everything both have one on while off terminal and and three on while off positions, scored then outta an old double load front loading wash mashine. The two float swithes I made from two wall light swicthes and some other junk $2. I bought 100' of one inch plastic hose to run down to the swamp for water in the summertime. I really can't remember what that cot but it was fairly cheap. My op is plumbed with pieces of this hose and pieces garden hose. I use one special type of valve I use to water my budders but I've been lucky so far and the right old wash machine seems to pop up just in time when I need one. The other valves that I use to water my moms and top up my upper res come from the back of old wash mashines and the garden hose or the wash machine hose screws right to them. I bought all the reflective plastic but all I remember was the guy at the hydro shop said it was expensive but I thought the stuff was fairly cheap. I didn't buy any of my ballasts for this setup. I scored the flouro light fixtures from a busted grow-op. The 1kw ballast that I'm using is from an old op and at that time I paid $500 for two. They were stolen but later returned and they are seriously high end ballasts. The light that I'm using is regularly replaced by my buddy that grows for cash. I keep his electrical happening in favour. The bonnet that I am using cost me my time to unbolt it from a decomitioned crane as it was going to the scrap yard anyway. I came equipped with a 1000w metal halide so it cost me more of my time to convert over to hps using my ballast and light. All of this rock in this op came from the busted grow-op. It cost me my time to pick it up. The table (plantpot) is made from scrap lumber but I did buy a drain spout and an extra thick shower curtain, $30. The trough that my moms grow in is an old catch trough from somebodys old constant flow trough system. It may not have done them any favours but my moms call it home. Fans come and go so I try to stay ahead of the game by having spares handy. Blowers are easy to make from 12vdc car heater fans...I have never bought a fan either. I have access to a garbage recycling station and almost anything a person needs except rock and lightbulbs and growstuff will eventually show up. I'm still using buckets of marical grow, color test kit, slabs of rockwool, dolomite lime from the lumber store, and I'm gonna stop here because I'm really buzzed and I'm starting to get confused:)

Spending lots of money or very little money doesn't make you a good grower. It's what you do with it..

I have thousands invested into my grow rooms and will continue to update them and maintain , which costs even more and that alone runs a few grand every year for just the replacements alone such as bulbs , filters ect .... You get what you put into it in the end if all is done right .. I used to be a budget closet grower for 20 + years but I wont look back and revert now for nothing ..

My next installation of additional lighting will cost another 4k alone this year .. Just some numbers for those following .. My grow room costed me thousands to setup but it was done in increments beginning with the 3 600 watt digital setups .. I think I had about 1 k into a veg tent as well in the beginning

With shipping & all 500-600...2 waterfarm, 400w light, 250w light, nice blower & emergency blankets.....I got lucky, when I moved in there was very little closet space so the previous tenants had bought put together closets for 2 rooms. I knew wut I was gonna do with the one big 1 as soon as I saw it. Landlord assured me it would be removed by the time I moved in but told him to just leave them. The cab I use has 3 doors & 2 sides....one sidehas double doors & is 2 1/2'w-1 1/2' d- 6' h. The other side with the 1 door is 1 1/2- 1 1/2- 6'. I was using the small side to veg but now I also grow & flower in there now that I scrogg...gutted out an old nightstand to veg & root clones & just last night threw out the crap I had in the other cab that was here, moved it into the same room for my plants that are getting too big for the nightstand....that cab has double doors also & about the same demensions as the big side of the other cab...I'm trying to get it to where I have something ready to be flowered as soon as a side is vacant on the big cab. So off to walmart for more emergency blankets...only gonna use cfl's in small cab & nightstand....hell I might even go back to where I started & do another cfl grow, who knows. Oh yeah, gotta get a few more of those today too so let's just round things off to 675.00, sounds like a good #....might have to play that in the lottery tonight & if any of u do & hit u can send a brutha a buck or 2....lol.....I was gonna but a fan for the small side of the big cab but figure I can just run ducting from the big side to the small side to vent & pull in cool air.

Oh damn....make that $825.00, need another 400w, the 250 I had a few years went down & I've having to switch the 1 400 I have between the 2 side...pain in the ass ! Damn, never knew I dropped that much on my grow....well worth it tho. I thought in the begining I could get away with some thing like venting, no good, had to keep doors open losing plenty of precious light.

I would like to know your cost on how much you spent to complete your grow room. I can tell you I spent about 100 to do my room. If you can post a pic. Fancy grow rooms don't do any better than cheap grow rooms..

Oh man. Can I just say that growing pot IS addictive?
Thousands and thousands. Close to 10K last year right after I got my card.
My wife would damn it all if the weed didn't make me tolerable. And really help my illness.
