While it is useful, i don't think it will be a sticky, most people are capable of googling daylight hours.

I picked up one of those Easy Bloom plant sensors. I think Black and Decker make them now. You put it outside and it records daylight, daytime temp, nighttime temp, and moisture level in the soil. Its pretty cool for the money.
