How much bt is needed per gallon of water? And how often. Trying to prevent the mass amount of bud worms that destroyed my plants last year

follow the instructions on the container and don;t use it when there are bees around it kills them so best time is evening after they go back to the hive.

For what I use (Thuricide BT Concentrate), 4tsp/gallon is called for. I use 1tsp in a Qt sprayer. Be sure and use a wetting agent/spreader sticker so it stays on the leaf. It must be ingested to be affected.

Mine clearly states on the label that there is no danger to honey bees, or any beneficial insects since they don't chew on foliage. The bacillus only targets caterpillars and is not a poison. I've eaten a shit ton of it over the years from tomatoes right off the vine.

Just make sure you get started before buds form. Inside a formed bud, they can munch away without taking in any of the bacillus on the surface. Every 3 days is good, since sunlight breaks it down and of course rain will wash it off. Once I see the moths, the spraying starts.

Bt only works when eaten and on specific insects/pests which are classified into the insects with chewing mouthpart category like caterpillars specifically. It is toxic in their gut after they have eaten it. B.T is a bacteria and there are many strains that target specific pests just make sure that you get the strain that targets your particular pest.

Yeah I second that, double check, I bought the wrong type, I should've got BTi for fungus gnats and I got the wrong one so I think I just fed those evil little disgusting larvae a three course dinner instead of the painful death I had hoped to serve them!
