How much algae is to much?

Hey everyone, so i just changed my resevoir for the first time (its been a week) since i started the grow, and i noticed a small coat of slime on my tubing as well as little pockets on the sides of my buckets. there was not a mass amount of the algae but there was a little on the side walls, tubes, and stones. what should i do about this? or if it even enough to effect my plants? ill post pictures if need be.

I'm gonna say any algae is to. o much. I'm still a noob to DWC but H202 (hydrogen peroxide) will help and I'm there are other solutions as well, which someone will hopefully find this thread and add their knowledge. So now we play the waiting game...

I know that I am a noob according to rollitup, but I have done several DWC and Swill is right. Any algae is too much. Algae will slow the growth in DWC. You need to figure out what is causing it. Tends to be from light getting in your buckets(pretty common) or your nute temp is too warm (rare).

any is too much. You don't want algae. It propagates very quickly. Try to block any light getting in to your res. That's usually the issue.. Good luck

When I had my algae problem I took off my mylar that was on top of my bubblers. I noticed a reduction immediately. Now i dont use mylar on top of my bubbler anymore. I think it is more of a hassle than a benefit (Algae and getting it to stick on for long period of time).

As for hydro peroixde, I dont use that stuff in my buckets. I tried SM-90 and never went back. Works wonders for my roots.
