How many?

How many LP's do you figure we'll end up with in say... 2 years from now.
I'm going to say MAYBE THREE when all the dust clears.
Prices will be Dirt cheap as the weed will be dirt weed.
BM will once again be high on the hog.
All thanks to Harper.

2 years from now.....hmmmm
I figure we see....at least as many as we have now plus...a few more....successful applications...
pretty much all of the publicly traded stocks will still have a presence....since there will be plenty of those who can afford to hang on for more than a couple of years..
there will be litigation in place and scheduled to go on for quite some time....
now depending how successful the mmar defense is at the up coming trial......will determine how much more
suing will go on...with mmpr applicants suing the gov.and HC.and mmpr patients suing the gov...and HC ..and mmar licencee's suing the gov...and HC
and how many people go it against HC and the gov.....alone....or seeking section 56 exemption... or another charter angle....not used yet....
plus as this drags on....plenty of people....who are in grave condition...will continue to suffer needlessly with either
inadequate quality meds....or a lower standard of living...due to high prices paid

I think the question is how many people out there are willing to pay more for legal weed than illegal weed?

I know 16 people with MMAR exemptions, they all paid for their card. I would say 12 of them just wanted to smoke in peace and without fear of conviction...and maybe to make a little cash on the side. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

I'm not saying there isnt truly sick people out there, I just think there's many more that want/need that protection.

If its not already happening there will be doctors out there that will sign for fee...just like we seen during the MMAR.

More doctors selling scripts...more legal rec users...more LP's

If I was a wealthy person with the right political connections, I would be taking HC to court to allow LP's to grow outdoors. It's the only way to mass produce affordable medicine.

IMO - I don't think HC will EVER allow Lp's to grow outdoors unless they have a moat w/alligators installed, laser guided drone planes with assault rifles, and Black ops soldiers posted on all corners...... weed makes me creative :) It is Health Canada's mandate, to make it impossible (or very hard) for the MMAR to continue, the MMPR to work- and generally no one should use marijuana because it's ridiculously scheduled as a fuckin narcotic!
What I don't understand, Is... how come you don't see the same level of security surrounding the pharmaceutical manufacturers? HC is so worried about "Diversion to the black market" and "Public safety" ....when is the last time anyone's safety was at risk from using mj? What if someone stole a truckload of Oxycontin? I think that's more of a danger to the public! What about all the side effects from prescription drugs, overdoses, death? Fuck you can't even go buy some ground beef from the grocery store without maybe getting lysteria! (I know, that s the food inspection agency) But still@! Public health!
OK, getting off my soap box before i hurt myself :)

There is no understanding the idiocy that is Harper policy. The only reason they require Fort Knox security levels is due to prohibition. The world will end if a bud or two hits the open market. In the early 80's in Ont. there were two girls in my apartment building who worked in a pharma manufacturing plant who used to have parties with bowls of pills on the table. All fun and games till one guy decided to jump from the 6th floor balcony while on synthetic PCP. How about alcohol? The number one killer of teenagers among all drugs does not require the stupid level of security at the factory. No prohibition=no black market=no worry of diversion. The fact is they do not have a reason to continue prohibition beyond Harper's personal 'morals' and legalization is inevitable. Plants grow outside..we eat them safely everyday. Why do we now require a laboratory to grow and test a product that has NEVER posed a health risk? The average car costs more than the value of my garden, yet people are allowed to just leave them 'sittin around'. There are far more stolen cars than stolen plants, and the stolen cars often lead to injury or death whereas stolen plants lead to the munchies.

It is CRAZY! I also worked for a drug manufacturer years ago... I was surprised that there was no fence around the place, no real security,.. and we had barrels of raw material and active ingredient to make Oxy, and whatever else coming and going. 5 ton Trucks travelling a couple times a day with millions of pills onboard going to the packaging plant... for real. Then when I heard of the LP's security requirments- retina scanners...chain link barbed wire fences.. lol. Brinks trucks picking up the packages of weed... I'm like WTF

My father used to deliver to pharma companies and whenever they had huge opiate shipments they would have police escorts to and from the facility.
He wasnt even allowed out of the truck while it was unloaded.
The company had a driver get robbed and they lost 4 million worth of perks in one trailer.
It never even made the news...

The non mj using people are afraid of lost revenues that the only thing they care about.
They dont want anyone making a dollar tax free especially from a "weed" that can be grown for pennies a gram.
