If you have a hard time telling when it's getting close, the easiest thing for the naked eye is to watch the pistils.
The pistils will turn from white to orange, the bud is still not ready.
The pistils will recede into the bud as it swells up for the final time. This is when you can start thinking your plant is ready.
You will still wanna check the trichs first.

Thanks ! Ill update as it goes.. Temps here are cold like 10c to -4c. Some warm sunny days in this weekend but back to cold as fuck from then on just gets colder.. Plus day light is minus 34mins .. 2-4 extra mins of darkness a day.. Just how the season goes and outside.. Lol will this speed up the flowering time? Of course i expect less yeilds .. But time wise..

You could try and build an enclosure around the plants. Something to prevent them from experiencing the cold lows of the nights. That would extend your season some.

Already done Clear plastic. And a heavy dark tarp for nights. Still gettin some air but it keeps warm

Nice! Our outdoor grow is over 12 ft. tall so that option came and went about 2 months ago... good luck!
