How many weeks left?

Hi all, I think I am about 7 weeks into flowering. I figure I have 2 weeks left but I really expected these to look more like actual buds. I really have no idea when to harvest and if I should harvest in stages (i.e. the top 1/3 of the plant first and then wait another week for the rest)... Should I really be harvesting just based on pistil color even if they're still small and not very budlike? I know I should buy a loop but am really curious if I can look for bud size as an indicator
I'm in Portland OR (which is starting to get cooler and rainier again) and this is my first ever grow. The strain is called Poonana which is a cross of Pootie Tang and Banana Kush.

Dude, when did you start counting? I'm just asking because one of my girls looks the same and I have her at just over 5 weeks, give or take a couple days. Outdoors is slow, remember that. Gotta be patient. I figure you have a few weeks to a month left, just like I think I have.

Cool cool. Ya my count is probably off and it could very well be 5-6 weeks not 7. As an outdoor grower are you nervous about the impending fall season weather?? I'm considering covering/tenting my plant for when it rains.

I'm in SE Wisconsin and I am not too concerned about the next month. We have a good stretch of weather going right now, and if I get a couple frosts in, my plants would actually respond positively to that.

Your fears are based entirely on your climate, so my experience will be different then yours, unless you are near me.
