how many watts?

Area is 128 sq ft - 8ft long 8ft tall 2ft deep with 600 watts of led that I know will not keep it warm enough inside to grow particularly Dec Jan and Feb that can get down to the single digits in Fahrenheit. I'm limited to 1 20amp breaker so a space heater along with the lights is out of the question. So we are thinking about 2 600 watt dimmable hps enclosed hoods with the glass removed and then a inline attic fan on a temperature switch that would exhaust into the garage and turn off the actual vent maybe even turning the current exhaust fan off and wrap the box in insulation. Any ideas, thoughts on how we could do this if you feel this wouldn't heat it enough?

I assume you will be growing autos with lights on 24h or the night temp would be crazy low?

With 1200w to get a 30degree c rise from ambient , say if your air is -10c outdoors then you would want a fan running only about 50-60 cfm. A small 4 or 5" box fan with built in thermostat control should work.
I imagine you would want to insulate the floor too.

Hey man, just FYI, what you described is the total volume. Not area. Your area is actually 8x2 = 16 SQF., not 128...

Also, just "600W of LED" could be really good or really bad depending on what LEDS those are so please be more specific.

To light an area of 16 SQF you'd need around 1000 Watt of HPS or similar, 1200 would be best, so 2 600 watters wouldn't be bad.. or 500-600 watts of high performing LEDS.

Never thought about running autos 24 on :) thanx that would take alot of fussing and tinkering out of it. Was thinking about running a small space heater when lights go off if the hps could keep it warm enough. I just can't run a heater and lights at the same time :(

You have an 8 foot strip two feet deep. Max 600w for a 2 foot area, but I would suggest that 3x400watt would cover this area more efficiently. 24hr is probably the best suggestion to help warm
Your space, or alternate a heater on a timer in your dark period. Single digit F is quite cold.

I would say those LEDs won’t do the job to your satisfaction.
