How do you plan to remove 2kw of heat generated with that much power?
Have an A/C unit.. when I’ve done it before I can manage temps of 25-26c lights on.. just wondering if it’s too much light. 4x400watt hps be better suited?

As far as i remember 600w is better than the rest.get a ppfd meter

2 lights would do it i think u gonna struggle to vent it fast enough in such a small space with 3 or 4 600 watt hps lights man are they adjustable power wise or?

Depends what your growing haze or deep chunk would hate that much light direct skunks and other stuff love it
White Widow, the only thing I’ll note is more to the point I’m asking is. I had issues in the past with foxtailing and I’m wondering if it’s light intensity, I’m sure if it was, I’d have signs of bleaching or damage to leaves and I didn’t.. only thing I can think of is high temperatures on a couple of occasions? Leaves looked pretty good all the way through, they just started growing rounded leaves and shooting new growth and took ages to ripen..
Yip, they have dimmable ballasts, 600-200w range

You allsoo have to think when 3 light then you have spots where they cross and there the light is a lot stronger

Thats ok then least u can run em all at 200 if its too hot and ime proper white widow takes light well so you probably be ok

Sounds like light/heat stress and maybe a little revegging.

As far as I know, light schedule. I wonder if the lights are way too intense, if that would drive the DLI up to a level that would cause the reveg even if they are on a 12/12 schedule?

If your lights on the wrong cycle or your timers crap and going off wrong times thats what can cause re veg
For sure, I don’t believe I had that issue.. don’t think I have any light leaks either but something to look into..

Light leaks will cause herms but it need to be one hell of a light leak to cause reveg my moneys on the timer before anything else if it was a reveg issue

A single 600hps is weak over a 1.2 x 1.2m space but great over a single meter squared.
So 4x 600w hps. Assuming you are growing in the whole tent and not 75% of it.

Growing in 95% of it.. only thing I can think it would be foxtailing for would be heat stress?? It never gets above 28c but on occasion may have?? So if I bring the 3 hps down to 400w instead of 600w I’ll have much more play with temps. I’ll run 23 lights on and 19-20 off. Reckon it’s a starting point to stop it?
