Whats the highest wattage bulb that could go in a regular lamp? I dont know much about electricity but im pretty sure certain cfls would need a different ballast or something.

On a regular lamp, if you look at the connector where the lamp goes it should show the max watts it can take :)

well if it says 60w normal bulb you can go up to this in cfl wattage ACTUAL watts

all cfl's are self ballasted

So if it says it can hold 100w for example, then it can take a 100w cfl? Its a little confusing because all cfl's will say its 26w or whatever and 100w equivalent.

You are right, if it is a 26W then it can go. dont worry about the equivalent its the real watts that matter. for your grow and for your electricity.

I think with lamps the lowest ones i have seen say 50 watt max and then i have some that say 100 watt max....Take a closer picture of that sticker there or read off exactly what it says because my lamps have a big warning thing on them that says the maximum safe light bulb is 100 watts

well i grabbed two 40watts and a y splitter thats the biggest they had at lowes for now. hopefully the lamp can take the two of them in the splitter.
The stickers dont say anything useful but etched into the black part it says 250v 660w whatever thats supposed to mean thats all i can find. Itried to get a pic of it but its too dark, black etched into black.
