How many volts should an exhaust fan for a 1 by 1.5 by 3 foot box be?

I have a small cooling fan from an Xbox. It's 12 volts. The only thing is, 12v is too loud. 9v is also too loud. I was thinking, would 5.2 volts be enough to properly ventilate it?

-The fan is about 2 inches in diameter.

-I'll have one plant under 2 23 watt CFLs (I might make it 3).
