how many red hairs till harvest - estimating time to flush

I know that bud pistils generally have to turn all red or mostly red when its ready to chop. but how fast do the white pistils normally convert to red ones in the last week ? My bud prob has 40% red and 60% white still, so not ready to chop, but what time should i start flushing ? any opinions welcome from people who have experience with my question, thanks in advance :) (i wanna flush for the last week)
 
you can chop around 70 percent red hair. when you get to 50-60 percent flush it and only give it water from there on if it needs it
 
I gve up flushing after i found it made absolutely no difference to my smoke :) As toi how rapidly the plant ripens up, too many variables for any for of accurate answer. Could be a week, could be many weeks.

so the ash test is a load of crap ? think im gonna flush anyway but like u say about the ripening speed bbeing too variable to comment on, im jus gonna wait till i know ive just got a few days left maybe 70% red hairs and just flush the soil intensely to make sure all the feed is gone. cheers for the info anyways :eyesmoke:
 
only time i've ever had ash that was not quite right was from sprayed weed. I have flushed and not flushed with soil, coco and hydro, the weed was always exactly the same. Always good to test it for yourself though.
