How many plants per 1000w

I get better yeilds, better control, easier watering/movement of plants, more air circulation and generally better vigor with no more that 4 plants under a 600w HPS/. I am actually considering either cutting that down to 2 plants. The c99 I have are monsters and branching out all over the place.
Thats my situation exactly, 4 plants under a 600W w/200W CFLs around the edges. Pics in my sig line, I think I could probably get as much w/2 or 3 properly trained. I would definitely not want more than 4, but I vegged for 7 weeks and tied them out pretty hard.

Average of 6 plants under 1000 watts in a 4x4 tray. Grown anywhere from 2 to 12 and it seems like the yeilds are the same.

Really I've heard never transfer out ofnsmartnpots cause it rips so many roots off, but i guess I'll give it a try. And trust me I hate living in cali I'm getting the fuck outa here next year. And yes it will cost 800$ for me to runa full flower cycle a little over two months

The roots get air-prunned(no swirl) from the airpots. Thats why i love going from them to bigger pots. Plus, while growing in the smart pots, they dry out a little quicker when they are younger, which is good to. Pro-mix benefits the most i would think, but i usually rock coco.
Just peel evenly down the smartpot, you'll get it down. Some people i know wash their smartpots for re-use. I don't. I keep them turned inside out, shake/bang the shit outta them, and they are ready for another round.
I hear you on the Cali power. They make shit loads of it from water around here, and you think we would get a better deal. Yeahrite!

681.jpgDSCF2200.jpgDSCF2433.jpgIt really is interesting to see how many different way's people use their areas, and their techniques for success. Me, I am a pack them in guy. I usually put 16 plants in 3 gal pots in a 4x4 area under 1 1000w and 2 250's on the sides. I grow sativas so I only veg for 4 weeks to keep the height manageable, and I get a few pounds, so I an content.

I've done 16 per for years. Every way possible(i think?). These days its all about plant counts. And, its just easier when it comes to prunning, lollypopping and staking em. I usually veg around 5 weeks, with the 7 gal transplant. Of course, with the rite strains. Og type strains 9 per light these days with around 4 week veg.
