how many plants can i veg under 2 600w mh,

i have a 5x5x7 also a 2 by 3, 6 feet tall. then i have an extra room, 10x15,

2 1000w hps with 2 mh/hps 1000w ballests
carbon filter with 8"inch fan. witch is pretty tall and thick
i picked up 4 60 pound bags of soil with purlite already mixed,
5 bags purlite just in case
i have the best of the best food from grow store.

Define best of the best food, not trying to be a wise guy.
If it's like a micro-organism soup/tea type thing that sounds pretty sweet.

Regardless.

Do you only have 2 1000W? No other lighting?
If not, your next step is to get some lights for the other rooms. I recommend a cheap HID but if you don't want to spend too much and T5s are cheaper you can get T5s for the veg room.

I would recommend though.

HID for Veg, T5s for clones, and those 2x1000W for your spare room that is 10x15.

After we sort out the lighting we can go into other aspects.

i also have 3 150hps bulbs, one comes with the ballest build in with reflector. i also got about 6 high compact fluorescent bulbs, 50w each i think,. i was thinking about picking up 2 or 3 600w mh to veg 40 plants, 24inch max then flower for 5-6 weeks under 2 1000w hps. ill look into the HID light, im not setting it up untill after the newyear so i got few weeks

Don't take this the wrong way but, from the questions you ask and the things you say, its clear your a first timer.

Start a SMALL GARDEN and use it as a learning aid.
Things go wrong in the beginning
It sounds simple but there's a lot of moving parts - lots of balls in the air.

Practise with a 4 x 4 tent and a 600w lamp beforeyou attempt these grand ideas.

That's not negativity - that advise is PRICELESS

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but are you guys talking about wet or dry weight with your figures?

If you can hold enough power to get all that working without a power outtage or circuit break then you should have a very nice setup.

2 1000W

Have one with HPS and one with MH light bulb.
You can have both with HPS but I suspect mixed spectrum is the best.

3 150 HPS can be used in a small tent area for experiments like LST, FIM, TOP, or w/e other technique practice or just for fun? Sometimes I like growing 1-2 of the same strain extra and do weird things with them (Only if I can afford the beans)

Buy a few (2 or 3 like you said (3 being better if you can afford the heat) 600W MH's and use those for vegging.

If you like the spend, you can get a few T5s and use those for seedlings and clones in the smallest tent.

Unless stated otherwise it's normally fully dried weights discussed

Here is your answer. You want a couple dozen small plants or 4 great big ones? It's all about growing foliage and making full utilization of the footprint of your light.
