How many nodes for SOG

You can run pretty much any strain in SOG, right? Regardless of indica, sativa, or hybrid?
I got a couple cuts I’m gonna for hash and I was gonna try to run a SOG with those. They’re probably all hybrids. Mountain trop, mochi gelato, poon tang pie, and slurricane.
they should all grow well enough for a sog, right?
The only strains I personally run in a sog are ones that l like to make large colas. This way those single bud lollipops aren't a waste of space. Sativas that throw a lot of popcorn buds along their branches tend to suck for a SoG.

@Renfro so basically you gotta test out the hybrids (I’m pretty sure most of mine are) and just gauge from there? (If you’ve never flowered them)

Best way to do this is to fill a tray and flower them to see who actually performs in a SoG. Such test runs tend to be a real shit show with uneven canopy and such but you can get a good idea what cuts like it and what ones don't. Then future runs can mono crop the successful cuts.

I ended up getting PM on my clones in my cloner (room wasn’t insulated and the temp and humidity swung like crazy).
so this time I’m gonna have to try something else. I’ll prob end up running a SOG around January as well.
how are you keeping your cloner environment? Do you use a water chiller to make sure your temps are cool for the water? What’s the room temp/ humidity?
I have the npk line as well that I’ll use for spot treatments and stuff.
im Prob gonna run emerald harvest nutes
I use a home made cloner.with 2 inch net cups and neoprene cuffs, you got to cut the bottoms out of the net cups and cut them down one side so you can open it like a clam shell around the plant.
I have ran my cloner in several different room types and humidity etc., I haven't had any issues with it thankfully. clones need some humidity anyways so high humidity really wouldn't be too much of an issue unless it was like 80% all the time for the plants up top. Get a light fan on them to keep that air circulating. I don't use a water chiller mostly cause they're expensive. You can always freeze some PH'd water and use it as like ice cubes to help keep it cool. I shouldn't have issues with keeping the water cool because it'll be sitting on a concrete floor same as my current reservoir and finishing my second run with this set up and everything has been fine. I haven't started my SOG yet but Im getting ready.
I have decided I will do a grow journal for this big run. It will be the biggest venture ive taken in my almost 10 yrs of growing so I'm excited to test my knowledge and hopefully get some big yields. Journal won't start til probably Jan when it'll be time to take clones.
