How many lumens needed?

I have my grow room all togther. how do i figure out how many lumens, i will need for my grow room its 30" x 30" X 60"?

the sun has some odd 10,000 per sq ft..just an idea..to get some good buds prolly 7,000per sq ft

i am trying to figure out how much lighting i need for the size of my grow room. this is a inside grow room, so i dont know what the sun has to do with this.

Lumen depends actually on the type of light u use ...
For HPS natriumlamp use the following as a guide

250 Watt -> 31000 Lumen, good for 0,5 m2
400 Watt -> 55000 Lumen,good for 0,7 m2
600 Watt -> 98000 Lumen, good for 1,2 m2

Alsways watch out for the distance to plant

250Watt: minimal 20cm
400 Watt: minimal 40 cm
600 Watt: minimal 50 cm

i dont know alot about HPS lights altho i do know they produce good bud.

but you can do a great grow with compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFL)s too. the 46 watt CFLs put out 2600 lumens each, and you can get them in red (2300 K) or blue (6500K) spectrum too. theyre great and only like 14$ each for the bulbs themselves. only problem is buying seperate lamps for each bulb..thats the part that costs the money

the sun has everything to do with it..the sun.creating 10000 lumers per sq ft..
when you grow inside you are trying to create an environment just like if it were outside..so if you want some good bud or whatever you wanna call it..you should have at least 10,000 LUMENS per sq ft...got it?

There are many right ways ..
But none will work as good as HPS
I would stick with 400 Watt -> 55000 Lumen,good for 0,7 m2
A nice cupboard Light :O)
I have read a lot about it...I also seen many different settups in working
I live in The netherlands and really I seen now many different light settups but in the end its HPS that makes the big buds
So ..up to u i guess but i am trying HPS

Your plants need zero lumens.
