ok i got a closet that i dont use its 1foot 11inch wide 4foot 5inchs long and 5foot 9inches tall

i was thinking about going to walmart and buying some of them 4foot long double fixture tube lights

it would make 4 bulbs in there at all times

about how many watts should i be looking for total with the small amount of space i have??

i was thinking about hanging both lights right above and getting 2 smaller ones to put at the ends so they have light all aroud. Would this be a good idea?

it depends on how many plants you want to grow in your closet. Are you just trying to grow one or two plants or more? If you just want to grow one or two plants you should be alright just getting some cfl lamps from wal mart. Everything I've read on this site you would probably want 2 or 3 lights per plant maybe the 150 watt equivelants

for three plants I would probaby get six bulbs at least and get some foil to reflect the light. Also read the growFAQ page, that will answer a lot of your questions

i think it would be much more effective to just use cfls, and no tubes. the 150 watt equivilent, is 42 watts. basically the more you have the greater your yield will be. i assume yo plan on flowering with them too, for flowering you want the soft white ones, for veg, you want cool blue. good luck

The area is small and you want 3 plants.Your best bet is gonna be a combo approach.2 4 foot shop lights 1 on each side wall the dont wast money on walmart cfls.Go to ebay and get a large grow cfl. They make actual wattage no equal to in 150, 200, 250, 300 watt bulbs from about $60-120 get 1 or 2 of those and grow thats about your only options in such a confined place. Also top and lollipop as you have no extra room

High times claims that you can buy a 65w CFL floodlight from Homedepot and grow up to 4 plants... I find High Times to be misinformed sometimes though...
