This may be a silly question but how many cuttings can be taken from a healthy mother plant.I was under the impression that you could only take one but someone said to me that you can take as many as you want depending on how many nodes there are.

All these tops can be taken as clones, as well as lower branches.
You can take hundreds of clones off of one plant...any branch can become a clone, and a plant can pretty much grow limitless branches, depending on how you bend it and how long you leave it to grow.
Take as many as you want but make sure you keep one clone as a new mum every 3-4th batch because the 'old' mum can become too woody and hard to clone, also the soil starts getting a bit old.
