Mainlining is obviously just another version of building a manifold, but you can also build a manifold out so that it's not mainlined, with less cuts.
I'm at a spot where I've got my first toppings done and now I've got 4 nodes on my two new mains. In the past I've mainlined plants so that the 8 tops (or however many) are all equally distanced apart (4 cuts), but I've also just built a manifold that keeps 1/3 or 2/4 nodes from each side so that you can achieve 8 tops with only 3 cuts.
Any thoughts on this? I'm using Dr. Earth, I'm not sure how "even" the distribution of nutes will be or how much/if it matters. Mainlining as a concept makes sense, but if I can achieve similar results while saving time on not removing more growth and making less cuts, I'm going that route.
Looking for suggestions!
