While you can certainly boost yield with some reflectors, Most of the best CFL threads I've read have around 500W. You've got 667W, if I count correctly, so I think you're set!

well the best i could do is add a second light same size 20watt 1200 lumens. its only on one plant still in veggie. over night the plant grew about a quarter of an inch on just the one light. i just realized the number is 2700 k

lately ive been alternating between outside during day lite and und cfl at night would that compensate for lack of watts. to answer ur question i have pleny of bulbs just not enuff outlets lol ive noticed since i brought the plant outside the leafs drooped should i bring it back under the light?

i dont wanna hijack this thread so pm me if ya wanna discuss it further.....get a power bar (like $6) and some outlet to socket converter things (like 1.50 a piece) and ur good to go, or get 2 of the new higher watt (65w and up) self ballasted bulbs and replace your 20 watters w/them. theirs also a thing called y socket that turn 1 socket into 2.

300 CFL Watts can easily get 3-5 Oz per plant

eh, i dunno bout that. its possible no doubt but i dont see it being easy unless u have alot of exp with it....like was stated earlier most expert cfl growers use about 500w. im with you on the reflector and placement part though, properly set reflectors are a must with cfls. gotta milk every lumen you can out of em. ya know the more i think of it 300w could grow 1 plant really well w/proper placement and reflectors but how could u get 2 or more 5 oz producing plants? do u use sog or scrog or what? im very interested in how your 300w cfl 3-5oz a plant setup works.

dude. los angeles does not have that many lights. Simmer down and a have a nice locally made beer you over achiever you.

big deal, it's a money tree !

No money tree here! This is my second grow and I bought them over time last time! Blue first then red and friend of mine gave me the 30w and couple of the other 23w. They last forever as long as you take care of them! I packed them away in peanuts pops when I dont use them!

From Grow FAQ:

Aluminum Can CFL reflector

I like them both not sure I will use can method as thats alot of can to cut and I am lazy, but might use something along the lines of the first i need easy to attach and shapable as not sure what shape I want yet to maximize air flow and temp as I know they will soon be and issue!

Why not just get bigger CFL's with higher lumen output and wattage? Just curious.

Well when i was doing my research i calulated that the 23w at 1600 lums were my best deal per Watt. If you divide 1600 (lums) by the 23w per bulb you get 69.56 lums/watt everything else was smaller than that! So thats what I bought the 23w. Plus they were the cheaper and i can place them any where I want. Basicly i went with more and apposed to bigger!

Oh to add to my achieving self I have aquired a 100w hps do you know how far that should be from its top! I dont know if its male or female yet so cross your fingers!

Hole-E-Shit, your house is going to burn down....I can count twenty, yes 20, that can go...please for the sake of other CFL Growers back off and start being efficient with bulb and reflector placements.....

What would you suggest i do to improve in detail, please! I would like to make it better!

:joint: My questions .......... never used HPS so...........

1. Its 100w hps I will be taking it out of the box it is in and wonder can i attach the balast (not including a cap doesnt have one) to a piece of wood or will it get to hot and catch fire?

I will attach bulb and reflector to L bracket and to wooden frame.

2. How far does this 100w bulb need to be from the top of the plant?

I know it cant be as close as CFL's (1 to 3 inches). :joint:
