How Many Cfl's Do You Use?

I use three in my flowering box
Two 2700k
And one 6500k
Some times I add a huge 50 watt cfl

In my pc case I use 2 cfls
One 2700 and a 6500
This is my veg box

What's your set up?
And what have you learn trough your grows?

I guess no one else grows with CFLs lmao

in my flower cab 1 i use to 23 watts for 2 flowering my veg cab gots 12 plants with 4 bulbs for now going to add more later on

at the moment im using 2 x 45w blue and 1 x 125w red but in the near future im going to put my 250w blue back in as soon as ive got a 250w red, and by 250w i mean uses 250w and is equivalent to a 400w

im using less cfls

Got 1 125w, only a 1/2 plant grow

I have 10 23w 6500 in my flower box, 2 plants and my vegg box 6 23w 2700k.

i wana try t5 in the near future.

in a closet lined with Film, and open doors, how many cfls would i need to grow 6-10 plants, is there a formula or anything? what size should i start the flip to veg 12"? Closet dimensions 2' wide 5' long and 5' high? I wanna use Cfls since im on a tight budget. i wanna use 3-4gallon pots, is that good? the one at local store are labeled 8" x 5.7" or 20.32cm by 14.48 cm. what soil will respond best? the closest is in a spare bedroom and right now i am just gonna use the closet till i get better at growin since im a newb to growing indoors, so i think as long as the doors stay open ventalation use a 16 wall mounted fan should be fine im not worried about smell either. theres one window in the room what do you all reccomend what i do with the window to keep light out yet dont draw attention from people outside? I don't use CFL, I use t8's. I have 3 ballasts with 2 bulbs in each. I have a 3000k and 6500k in each ballast. Took me about 2 months to get my plants a foot tall. They have been in flowering for about 2 weeks now, and have grown almost another foot so far lol.

Romeorye, just put up tin foil in the window, if anyone says anything just say your trying to keep the temps down in your room so you don't have to pay such a high electric bill. Or if anyone asks, tell them to mind their own business.

i used 23 23 watters on two plants and i yielded orver a qp ,right now i am reveging them under 15 26 watt 6500k clfs,i end up putting more and more lights the futher they grow

I'm using ten 42 watt cfl bulbs in my growbox. I've got a mix of 2700k and 6500k with the balance tipped towards the 6500k for veg. When it's time to flower, I'll be switching a few of the 6500k for 2700k bulbs in order to tip the balance the other way.

Shouldn't you have 2700k (red-ish light) in your flower box and 6500k (blue-ish light) in your veg box?

The lights are coming.... Whats the ideal situation for best yield? If I start vegging with 6 cfl 6500K, when I start flower should I replace the 6 veg lights with 6 NEW 2700K cfl's OR should I just throw them in there adding both spectrums in flowering, totaling 12 lights total?

Will the 6500K CFL harm the flowering phase or can we be safe and say the more light the better. Haven't seen this answered yet...

i use 18 26 watt 6500k for veg then i use 22 23 watt 2700k bulbs.add a couple fans and your pretty good.im in a closet and just keep the door cracked alil

I've read and agree that though during the flower period the plant needs the spectrum of light generated by the 2700k bulbs, the plant is still adding mass and has a use for the 6500k wavelengths as it did during the vegetative phase.

I would work it so that during each phase, you have a relative abundance of the bulbs needed for that phase, with just a few bulbs of the other spectrum.

I think it is appropriate to consider that outside, the plant would be receiving a full spectrum of light whenever the sun is hitting its leaves. The plant simply makes use of the wavelengths it needs to carry out photosynthesis. That idea combined with the fact that our indoor grows are attempting to mimic outdoor conditions leads me to believe that providing a more complete spectrum of light for the plant during all phases of growth will make for a healthier plant.

Anyone else have any thoughts on that?

First grow for me & I am using 6 x 42W 6500K & 2 x 23W 6500K!

I'm using 12 32 watt 2700k for 2 plants.
