im getting this 150 watt hps now after some thought for a small set up, for an about 5.5 high 2 wide and 1.5 deep tool shed like doupled doored storage shed, so how many plants is this light suitible for for a high yeild?

1 really? cause i could be wrong but i heard addequate light for a plant is 3000 lumens and a 150 puts out 1600 lumens wich to my scientifical calculations is about 5 plants, have you experimented with this before?? nothing personal i just want to make sure how many i can stick under there for sure

if i were you , i would spend some money on a 400w HPS bulb, That light is perfect for that size of grow area. I grow with eye hortilux 1000w HPS bulbs and have great success in a bigger area. Good luck man, just dont you to be wasting your time.

i was thinking about the 400 but i got a killer deal on these lights, there were 2 for 70 dollars so i couldnt pass it up... i might sell these, i was thinking about the 400 but you dont think that would be a heat issue cause i here that 400s need a min of 5 by 5 space

I have a small setup with a 400w and there is a heat issue in a 8ft by 2ft, if you have two of these lights at 150w that gives you 300w, i have grown 6 plants with banging buds, use square containers and lots of mylar and you should be good, i got an 2 oz dried off a lowryder 2 using just one 70w and maxed the co2
goodluck

nice with one 70 watt? then damn i should get 2 plants easy with a 150 and like you said tons of mylar wich holalua i just found a roll in my garage, yeah and i here co 2 is amazing for marijuana, i wanted to add one of those to my set up, like one of those small propane bottles with like a little pilot light, how did you give your buds c02???

Candles and a fan blowing up under leaves,co2 is heavier than air and sinks, hence the fan to blow it back up under leaves, more candles equals more co2, basic, and potentially quite dangerous, but not if you have a touch of brain power
good luck

yeah but anyways im going to try to get about 3 on my 150 hps with this new method i read up on, you can, i here if you give your plants 12/12 from the seedling, you force them to flower early wich saves all veg time and plus gives you an 80% chance of getting females produce a yeild about as close as youd get growing them full size, cause what it does is force the plant into budding and you get one gigantic bud ( i herd something like 50/70 cm wich if i was going to make a complete guess is 8-9 inchesintern with no branches, just alot of clipping

you can acutally grow 4 plants,2 rows and 2 plants side by side.Im saving up to get a bad ass deal wich you should also look into at htg supply. Its the 150w floralux hps sytem, its a air cooled reflector with a glass lens on the frame. This is the perfect lamp for that cabinet you wanna grow in becasue im gonna be growing in a cabinet ecactly like that. From those measurements of the cabinet you might be able to squeeze 3 medium plants in there but they'll get real bushy in that little space.Im actually gonna try to grow 3 the first time just to see and then ill make my decesion weather or not to grow 2 or 3.But that 150w will sure be the best thing in that cabinet because getting a 250w or 400w will cover way more space than you are using in the cabinet. So any light covering more than the space of the cabinet will cause excess heat and that will lead to burned plants or other problems.Another option is to get a cool tube if you are gonna be useing a bigger light which would be the best thing to do along with getting a good vent fan.

p.s.Go to htg supply.com and check out there deals, they have a 250 hps system for 117$ plus shipping. You can add a euro air cooling reflector for 58$.A complete system for under 200$ and the 400w systems are the exact same price.
